Police Department, Building Department, the Village, and the City Engineer; a <br />total of five sets. These would cover all commercial buildings and new <br />development layouts. <br />Mr:,,Sloan.:then. read a list of items.wanted by the Fire Department: (1) <br />two sets of hose ramps at $85 per set, (2) a hose jacket at $79.20, (3) rubber <br />liner at $25.00, and (4) a hose clamp. Mr. Shaw suggested a vote to authorize <br />the purchase of a hose clamp. Mr. Mason moved, seconded by Mr. Shaw, that the <br />hose clamp be purchased. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Nlessrs Shaw, Busa, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Davis, <br />Nays - None., <br />Motion carried <br />Chief Shortle suggested that the fees for the Blasting Inspectors be <br />raised to meet with those of tlze Village Engineer inspection rates, which are <br />$5.00 per hour. . <br />Nlre Shaw, seconded by Mr. Sloan, introduced Ordinance #929 entitled: <br />"An Ordinance to Amend Section 3 of Ordinance No. 541 Regulating the Use, <br />Storage and Transportation of Explosives as Amended by Ordinance No. 658, by <br />Designating the Village Engineer as Inspector", which ordinance was read to <br />Council. <br />It was moved by Mre Mason, seconded by_Mr. Shaw, that the rules of law <br />requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Busa, Wallcer, Mason, Sloan & Davis. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />? <br />. Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Sloan, moved that Ordinance #929 be approved <br />and passed as read. Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Busa, Walker, riason, Sloan & Davis. . <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Mayor Bennett referred to the by-laws of the Village Auxiliary Police. . <br />Mr. Edelman stated that, although the Auxiliary Police may be paid by private <br />property owners, they are still under the control of the Village Police at <br />all times. Mr. Busa stated that the Auxiliary Police are under Civil Defense <br />at the present time and then Mr. Busa suggested that they be put under Federal <br />Guide Lines. Mr. Busa will investigate this matter and report next month to <br />Council. . <br />Mr. Sloan, seconded by Mr. Shaw, then introduced Ordinance #930, entitled: <br />"An Ordinance Approving the Establishment of.'and Revised Nianual of Rules for <br />the Auxiliary Police Unit, and Repealing Ordinance #747" which was placed on <br />f irst reading. <br />2.
