Mr. Edelman suggested an ordinance awarding the bid f or garbage and
<br />rubbish collection and disposal to Mro Charles E. Shiffer, Jr. on the condition
<br />that a letter be submitted by Crawford International guaranteeing equipment in
<br />the event that Mr. Shiffer could not perf orm.
<br />Mra Busa, seconded by Mr. Davis, introduced Ordinance #950 entitled: "An
<br />Ordinance Accepting the Bid of Charles E. Shiffer, Jr. f or Garbage and Rubbish
<br />Pick-Up and Disposal", which Ordinance was read to Council.
<br />Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Mason, moved that the rules of law requiring an
<br />ordinance be read on three separate occasions be suspended,

<br />on the position of the buildiag to be erected on the Southeast corner of SOM
<br />Center Road and Wilson'Mills Road. The representatiye stated that i:t would be
<br />impossible f or the building to be located in such apositiori, that it?would
<br />face both roads, but that it would have to f ace one of the two roads in question.
