Mr. Sloatt, seconded by Mr. Busa, moved that the rules of law requiring <br />an ordinattce to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. , <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Busa, Wallcer, Mason, Sloan & Davis. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Walker, moved that Ordinance #962 be-approved <br />and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Busa, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Davis. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />? Mr. Sloan, seconded by Mr. Shaw, introduced Resolution #676 entitled: <br />"A Resolution to Cattcel the Water Main Assessments on Parcel No. 831-38-97 on <br />Glenview Road" which was read to Council. ' <br />Mr. Mason, seconded by DZr. Davis, moved that the rules of law requiring <br />a resolution to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Busa, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Davis. <br />Nays - None. <br />. It was pointed out that it is <br />legal to change the right-of-way from 73 feet to 60 feet.' Mr. Ballash of 6751 Wilson Mills Road'eicpressed his oppositi.on to payment <br />of 40% for people living on the North side of Wilson riills Road. , Mr. Stranathan of 6755 Wilson Mills Road expressed his strong opposition <br />to the sidewalks in general. ... • .. <br />Mayor Bennett mentioned the fact that one child has been kflled in the? <br />Village on Zander Road and that the only reason £or not having sidewalks on both <br />sides at this time is the high cost of removing trees, grading, etc. When the <br />County widens and paves Wilson Mills, they will solve these problems. <br />Mr. Henry ICrebs of 6784 Wilson Mills Road aslced Council to explain tlie <br />economic justification for putting in sidewalks. Mr. Shaw answered that the <br />basic reason is saFety and welf are of our children. <br />5.
