Mr. Peterson presented eight bids f or the sidewalks on Wilson Mills <br />Roade Joe Rondini and Sons, Inc. were the low bidders, with a bid of $11,250.00. <br />Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Mason, introduced Ordinance No. 994, entitled; <br />"An Ordinance Authorizing the Mayor and the Clerlc-Treasurer of the Village to <br />Enter Into a Contract With Joe Rondini and Sons, Inc. fos the Construction and <br />Installation of a Sidewalk on Wilson Mills Road When Funds are Available or in <br />Process of Collection", which Ordinance was read to Council. <br />Mr. Mason, seconded by Mr. Walker, moved that the rules.of law requiring <br />an ordinance to be read on thr,ee separate occasions be suspended. <br />? <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Walker, Mason, Sloan and Davis. <br />Nays - Messrs Busa. . <br />Motion failed for want of five votes; therefore the ordinance was.placed <br />on f irst reading. <br />Mr. Mason, seconded by Mr. Davis, made a motion to return all bid checks <br />and bonds except Joe Rondini and Sons, Inc. , <br />Roll Ca11:,Ayes - Messrs Walker, Mason, Sloan and Davis. <br />Mre Busa abstained. <br />, Motion carried <br />Mr. Weiss reported the amount of assessment For paving Worton Park from <br />Wilson Mills to Hemingway is $14,787.00, the estimated rate per front foot is <br />$6.37. Excavation and drainage work has been eliminated. There will be a <br />minicnum disturbing of the tree lawns. <br />Mr. Davis, seconded by Mr. Mason, introduced Resolution No. 704, entitled: <br />"A Resolution Declaring it Necessary to Improve Worton Park Drive, From Wilson <br />Mills Road to Hemingway Road, by Grading and Paving with Asphaltic Concrete <br />Materials, Together With All Necessary Appurtenances, and Declaring an Emergency", <br />which resolution was read to Council. I <br />Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Sloan, moved that the rules of law requiring <br />a resolution to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Busa, Walker, Mason, Sloan and Davis. <br />. Nays - None. <br />i <br />. Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Mason, seconded by Mr. Sloan, moved that Resolution No. 704 be approved <br />and passed. . . <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Busa, Walker, Mason, Sloan and Davis. <br />, Nays - None. , <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Passed. <br />Mrm Weiss has the wage rates for shooting of Seneca, Bonnieview and <br />Glenview and will advertise f or bids and have them ready for the next meeting. <br />6.
