I The Clerk-Treasurer•s comparison of aetual versus budgeted:expenditures <br />for the f irst nine months is f avorable. We are nearly on budget in all f unds. <br />The Finance Committee will investigate the practicality of renting a <br />postage machine> <br />. ? . <br />The Finance Committee determined that any addition to the Service Department <br />can be met by a reduction in part-time salaries and by use of remaining f unds in <br />the contingency.account: ? <br />Mr. bavis,.seconded by Mr. Busa, introduced Ordinance No. 1033, entitled: <br />"An Ordinance to Amend Section 3 of Ordinance No. 583, as Amended by Increasing <br />the UniForm Allowance for Special Policemen", which ordinance was resd to Council. <br />, <br />Mr. Sloan, seconded by Mr. Davis, moved that the rules of 1aw requiring <br />an oraiaance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. , <br /> Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Sloan, Busa, Walker, Mason, Schmidt and Davis. <br /> Nays - None. <br /> - Motion carried <br /> ? <br />Rules Suspended <br /> Mr. Mason, seconded by Mr. Davis, moved that Ordinance No. 1033 be approved <br /> and passed as read. <br />Roll Call; Ayes <br />= Messrs Sloan, Busa, Walker, <br />Masonp Schmidt and Davis. <br /> Nays - None. ' <br /> Motion carried. <br /> • Ordinance Passtd <br />Mayor Betinett announced that the Sun Oil Company and.the Wortott Park <br />Development Company have dropped their case against the Village of Mayfield. <br />Mayor Bennett read a request f rom Police Chief Shortle that John Paul Jores <br />be removed as Auxiliary Policeman sinee he has moved f rom the Village. <br />Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Davis, moved that John Paul Jones be removed <br />from the list of Auxiliary Policemen.
