It was then moved by Mrv Belzer, seconded by Mrm Masons that Council <br />reject a11 bids. < . <br />Roll Ca11o Ayes - Messrs ZorngWedlers Bennetts Masons Sloan & Belzero <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Councxl then decided to wait until the August meeting and re-advertise <br />for a new police car. <br />Mayor Endress then.asked if Council wished to start`legislation f or <br />sidewalks on Wilson Mills Road. <br />MrQ Edelman said that he would f ind out what legislation was needed for <br />? <br />this plan and have it readlr°f or the next meetingo <br />Mayor Endress then remarked that somethin.g fiad be2n left up in the air <br />at the last meets.ng; that the Safety and Service Committee had told the Firemen <br />that there was n,othing wrong with using No. 2 pumper for mutual aid cal.lsm Mayor <br />Endress then asked if Council wished to do anything about this. There was some <br />discussion in Council over this matter as it was recalled that Council had refused <br />permission some tims in the past for this pumper to leave the Village. Council , <br />then asked the Clerk to look into this matter and see what the Minutes containeda <br />Council then tabled the matter until the next meetinge <br />Mayor Endress then read-the seports from the various departments, <br />? <br />Mayor Endress then read a letter from Chief Shortlem asking for the <br />appointment of Harold F, Rassau, 513 Zorn Lane, as a member of the Mayfield <br />Auxiliary Police Unit.. Mayor Endress then made this.appointment. It was then <br />moved by Mro-Zorn, seeonded by Mre Sloang that this appointment be.confirmedo <br />. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Zorn, Wedlers Benn.etts Mason,.Sloan & Bennetto <br />Nays - Nonee - <br />? <br />_ Motion carried <br />Appointment Conf irmed <br />Mr. Mason th.en made a report to Council on an inspection o£ the <br />Zeppslmeier property made by Mr. Mason and Mr. Belzer on Saturday, July lls 1962s <br />Mr. Mason listed numerous items scattered about the yard in violation of our <br />ordinances. Mr. EdeZman said that he should be given a notice with the list and <br />30 days to clean up the place. <br />Mayor Endress also reported that he had received a phone call £rom <br />Eastgage to see what eould be done about sidewalks. : <br />Mro Howard Schulz then had a long talk with Council concerning drainage <br />problems on his property caused by the Freeway. Mr. Schulz began by saying he <br />had received a letter fram our Engineer concerning this matter and read the letter <br />to Council to refresh thei.r memoryv In this letter our Engineer brought out the <br />5.
