joint meeting of the Councils of the three Villages every May and.that the <br />taxes should be pro-rated on the cemetery< <br />Mr. Belzer, reporting f or the Safety and Service Committee, said that <br />Seneca and Glenview P.oad are in need of repairs, that Mr. Wieland had taken care <br />of one of the'holes and h'ad'started on Glenview Road. Mr. Belzer said that Mr. <br />Shortle had brought up the subject of sidewalks and wished to see them on all <br />new developments and spoke particularly of Walnut.and Butternut Roads, where <br />the children were using the streets f or playgrounds. Mr. Edelman said that, <br />when the next developer came in, Council should remember.this and see about <br />it. Mr. Shortle also had a man survey the new High School area f or traffic <br />lights. Mr. Belzer said that Mr. Wieland had asked £or permission to buy a <br />catch basin cleaner and recommended that this be purchased.. . <br />It was moved by Mro Bennett, seconded by Mr..Shaw, that a catch basin <br />cleaner be purchased. <br />Road Call: Ayes - Messrs jaedler, Bennett, Shaw; Mason,.Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. - <br />Motion carried <br />' Mr. Wieland also asked f or a new f lag and the Safety Committee told him <br />to get-oneo The Fire Department also aske.d.that the Village purchase a welder <br />f or use by the Fire and Service Departments and said that Gary Porter had one <br />for'sale which could be purchased f or $125.00, <br />`It was'then moved by Mr. Shaw, seconded by i4ra Mason, that the Welder <br />ocaned by Garry P-orter be purchased for the Villageo , . <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Wedler, Bennett, Shaxq, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays ? None. - <br />. Motion carried <br />• Mr. Bennett then brought up the subject of Radios f or the: Fire Department <br />and said that Chesterland would buy the old radios.for $600.00. <br />It was then moved by Mr. Sloan, seconded by Nir. Belzer, that we advertise <br />f or bids f or radios f or the Fire Departmente <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Wedler, Bennett, Shaw, Mason, Sloan & Belzer, <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Mr. Wedler, reporting f or the Zoning and Planning Commission, said that <br />they had had a delayed meeting on April 29, 1963, and Mr. Hoag discussed with <br />assembled residents a discussion held with the developers of the Niount Vernon <br />Estates Co. who are interested in developing some 147 acres which they own, <br />and granted approval of the partitioning of snblots 55 and 54 on Seneca Road, <br />They also discussed mith Mr. Taylor his request f or subdividing property <br />and fronting on Beechhill Road, <br />Mro Bennett then reported that the lights had been erected on the parking <br />lot and that he was still checking on the Fire Station doors. <br />5.
