Mr. Sloan, seconded by Mr. Belzer, then introduced Ordinanee <br />No. 803 entitled; "An Ordinattce to Amend Ordinance No. 309,_Being an Ordina.nce <br />to Regulate Tra£f ic on the Streets and Public Highwaqs of the Village of Mayf ield, <br />by Amending Section 17 Pertaining to Driving Whi1e Undez the.Influence of Alcohol, <br />Narcotic Drugs or Opiates, Section 22 Pertaining to Driving on the Right Half <br />o£ the Roadway, and Section 37 Pertaining to Right-of-Way When Turning to Left," <br />which ordinance was read to Council. <br />It was moved by Mr. Sloan, seconded by Mr. Belzes, that the'rules of <br />law requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions.be suspended. <br />Roll Gall: Ayes - Messrs Bennett, Shaw, Mason, Sloan and Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Sloan, that Ordinance No. <br />803 be approved and passed as read. <br />RoU Call: Ayes - Messrs Bennett, Shaw, Mason, Sloan and Belzer. <br />Nays - None. . <br />Motion carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Mr. Belzer then reported that the Service Director had asked for <br />two hundred feet of 22 inch hose for cleaning out pipes under driveways and <br />keeping ditches open and a two inch straight nozzel f or the hose. There was <br />considerable discussion on this matter and it was the thought of Council that <br />the Fire Department purchase 200 feet of new hose and tnrn their oldest hose <br />aver to the Service Department and the Service Department then buq a new <br />nozzel. As there vere no prices available at this tima, Council asked that <br />this matter be tabled-until their special meeting on July 29, 1963. <br />Mayor Endress then reported that he had ahecked the laws regarding <br />Volunteer Firemen and could f ind nothing that said that an Assistant Fire <br />Chief had to live in the Dillage; so Mr. Gura,would still remain as _ <br />Assistant Fire Chief. _ <br />Mr. Belzer also reported that Mr. Shortle had asked about install- <br />ation of street lights and traf£ic lights at Wilson Mills and Interstate #90 <br />and Mayor $ndress is having our Solicitor write the Attorney Geaeral to see <br />i£ they are going to install lights and if so, who will have'to pay f or and <br />maintain these lights. <br />Mr..Belzer.then asked our Engineer if he had found out anything <br />about the right of way for sidewalks on Wilson Mi11s,.East of SOM ROad. 2. <br />
