Mr. Belzer, seconded by Mr. Mason, then introduced Ordinance No. 804 <br />entitled: "An Ordinance Determining to Proceed With the 3mprovement of SOM <br />Center Road.in the Village of Mayf ield, Ohio, From the End of the Existing <br />Water Main Which Terminates 1528 Feet North of the Center Zine o£ Metro <br />Park Drive,-in a Northerly Direction to the North Corporation Line of the <br />Village of Mayf ield, by the Construction of a Water Main and Appurtenances, <br />and Declaring an Emergency," which ordinance was read to Councilv <br />It was moved by Mr. Belzer, seconded by Mr. Sloan, that the rules of <br />law requiring an ordinance to.be read on threeseparate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Bennett,Shaw,Mason,Sloan and Belzer. . <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion'carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Belzer, that Ordinance Noe <br />804 be,approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Calls Ayes - Messrs Bennett, Shaw, Mason, Sloan and Belzere <br />Nays - Nonea <br /> Motion carried <br /> Ordinance Passed <br />i Mr. Edelman said that we could not take bids for the next meeting. <br />Mr. Peterson said that he had received no adverse calls, but had received <br />four inquisies £rom four properties on atie-in to the main. <br />Mayor Endress then asked Mr. Belzer f or a report f rom his committee <br />on the road in Kenwood Gardens. Mr. Belzer said tnat they had checked Kenwood <br />attd that it needed quite a bit of tarring done and all cracks have not been <br />filled; that they had talked with Koeiber and he agreed to get the man back <br />with the tar bucket and fill.them up, that the Thornapple part was in.good <br />shape, but needed a little tar. Mr. Belzer said that he did not think we <br />could accept these streets yet. Nir. Edelman said that he had talked with <br />Mr. Koerber and these repairs would cost about $50:00 and he was willing to <br />put this money up with the Clerk so that the streets could be accepted. Mr. <br />Koerber said that Mre Wieland could do this work and he would pay him. Mayor <br />Endress said that perhaps we could accept the street if and when the holes <br />are f illed. Mr. Koerber said that he had asked for a list of what the <br />Village Engineer wanted; that the Engineer;had told him what to do and he <br />did it and this was in addition to a lot of money that was spent by the <br />bonding,company; that he could not jus•t keep on this way, that it could go <br />on and on; that he had done everything requested by the Engineera Our <br />Engineer said that the repairs that exist are no-t wear attd tear and that he <br />did not feel that the Village should assume the responsibility f ob this; <br />that this was some of the same thing that caused the street to be in the condition it was in the f irst place.
