? Mr, Edelman then reported on.tne 7?ander Road Sewer projecta He said <br />that the Engineer had plans and specif ications; that an agre2ment had been <br />entered into by the two communities. Our Engineer then reported that he had <br />completed plans and speciā¬ications f or this improvement in accosd with h_is <br />authorization; that the overall estimate was $114,000.00 with the Village share <br />as $1,641.00 for 2% and inters.ections. Mr. Wieee said that he had not;.wdrked up <br />an estimate per f oot as yet but it would be roughly around $15.00 per f ront <br />foot with an additional charge of $400:`00 for connections to the sewer. Mr. <br />Weiss said that this sewer would be laid in rock right up to.the top soil and <br />the connections would go to the ownerxs lineo Highland Heights have approved <br />their part of th.i.s, but were shocked at the price. Highland Heights are <br />putting this on a 10 year basis. <br />Mr: Belzer, seconded by Mr. Mason, then introduced Resolution No. 566 <br />entitled: "A Resolution Declaring it Necessary to Improve Zander Road Between <br />Certain Termini in the Village oF Mayfield by Constructing a Sanitary Sewer With <br />Curb Connections Therefor and the Necessary Appurtenances and Declaring an <br />Emergency", which resolution was read to Council. <br />It was moved by Mr. Belzer, seconded by Mr. Shaw, that the rules of <br />law requiring a Resolution to be read on three separate occasions be suspendede <br />Roll Call; Ayes - Messrs Bennett, Shaw, Mason, Sloan and Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />. Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by Mrv Shaw, seconded by Mro.Belzer, that Resolution No. <br />566 be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Bennett9 Shaw, Mason, Sloan and Belzer. <br />Nays - None, . <br />Motion carried <br />Resolutiott Passed <br />Mr, Peterson came in and Council again took up the Kenwood Road matter. <br />Mr. Peterson said that it was not unreasonable that they repair this and if it <br />is left it will get worse and we will have to do it later; that Mayf ield shottld <br />take over these paving jobs at an earlier date; that it was not f air to the <br />developer to let them go so long and if the developer had taken care of these <br />things more promptly, the chances are that the street could have been taken <br />over; that all concrete requires some maintenance after a year or two and this <br />area should be checked before we take it over. Mr. Peterson said that approxi- <br />resin should f ix this matter;. that the area in question covers 50 or 60 feet <br />and the material would-rnn around $100.00 and he is guessing a bit on this. <br />Mra Koerber then asked if he could give $100 to the Village and let anybody <br />make the repairsa Mre Mason said that he recommended that this street be <br />accepted on this basis. . <br />Mr. Sloan, seconded by Mr. Mason, then introduced Ordinance No. 804 <br />entitledt "An Ordinance Accepting Kenwood Drive and Part of Thornapple Drive <br />For Dedication", which ordinance was;read to Council. <br />Tt was moved by Mr. Belzer, seconded by Mr. Shaw, that the rules of <br />law requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />5.
