Nir. Belzer, seconded by Mr. Sloan, then introduced a resolution that a <br />pump be purchased f or the Fire Department if and when f unds are available. <br />It was moved by Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Walker, that the rules of <br />law requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />1Zo11 Call; Ayes - Messrs Shaia, Bennett,Wallcer,Mason,Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />- Rules:Suspended <br />It was moved by Mr. Belzer, seconded by Mr. Shaw, that the Resolution <br />be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw,Bennett,Walker,Mason,Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />. Motion carried <br />Resolution Passed <br />Mr. Aiason, reporting f or the Planning and Zoning Commission, said that <br />the Board has met on Monday, February 10, 1964, and convened as a Board of Appeals. <br />This special meeting was called to consider a plan presented by Nir. KoerUer to <br />subdivide lots in Nieadowwood. Mr. Nlason said that Mr. Edelman advised the Board <br />to approve this subdivi.sion and this was done and a memo issued to Mr.. Wieland. <br />At tfiis point Mr. Edelman said that he did not advise the Board to, grant this, <br />but said that it had the power. to do soe The Board then adjourned and re- <br />convened as the Zoning and Planning Commission. The Commission then had a. <br />question and answer revue with the developers, Mt. Vernon Realty Co., and Mr. <br />Mason summarized these questions and answers. He said that the development. , <br />would be part commercial and.part multi-f amily dwellings, which would rerit for <br />$150,00"perinonth. Mr. M ason said that they did not have complete plans and <br />would not have tliem until the ordinance was put on the table. At this point, <br />Mayor Endress asked a reporter present to tell the Sun Press to give us some <br />true reporting at these"meetings - that some of the things they repor.ted were <br />wrong. Nir. Mason said that this property was now zoned f.or Commercial and <br />that there would have to be an ordinance presented to Council. Mr. Mason then <br />gave a short discussion on i.he procedure f ar this re-zoning. Mr. Mason said <br />that the only other topzc that evening was a comment on the..:proper.ty up in <br />Aintree Par1c, This was re-zoned two years ago and was nowr,1ieing .resolved. <br />Mayor Endress then asked Mr. Edelman about the ordinance for this re- <br />zoning and 1Kr. Edelman said that it would take a little work to define the <br />propertyy that there was not enough hours in a day to have it ready; tha?t Mr. <br />Wolstein was present and would answer any. questions; that he did not have time <br />to get the ordinance ready as it was very conplicated but would have it f or <br />the next meeting. <br />Mayor Endress then said that he supposed that everyon.e had seen the <br />notice in the paper about the boy at the High School who had been chosen to go <br />to Europe with the Band. Mayor Endress said that he had a letter asking for <br />a Resolution favoring this. Mayor Endress said -that this was the only boy f rom <br />Greater Cleveland getting the honor and said that he would like a resolution <br />just saying that we are in favor of the boy°s going; that he thought we would <br />then be doyng what they required. Mr. Edelman then read this Resolution to Council. <br />2.
