Mr. Mason, seconded by Mr.-Shaw; then <br />introduced Ordinance No, 838 entitled: "An Ordinance Zevying an Admission <br />Tax on Persons Paying Admissions or Who Are Admitted Free or at Reduced Rates <br />to Any Place of Amusement, Recreation or'Entertainment Fixing the Amount and <br />Providing for the Collection Thereof and Prescribing Penalties"; which <br />ordinance was read to Council. <br />It was moved by Nir. Mayor.Endress then,reported thAt he had three new members to appoint <br />to the,Fire Department and.proceeded to appoint Mr. Wilbeit C.'Vernick, Mr. <br />Donald.W.: Vernick and Mr. Kar-1 Strasser to the Fire Department. <br />It was moved by Mr. Mason, seconded by Mr. Belzer, that these three <br />appointments, be confirmed.- <br />, RoI1 Call:. Mayor Endress then presented the name of Mr. Lloyd Burks <br />of Echo Drive for appointment to this Board, Mr. Bennett then remarked that <br />was more of the same, that we now had threP members f rom the ottier end of <br />town. Mayor Endress then asked if Geography was more important than ability. <br />Mr. Bennett said that he did not question the man°s ability; that he knew <br />him too.
