Mr. Edelman then reported that he had a request from the Police for <br />an amendment to the traffic ordinanceo Mr. Shaw, seconded by Nir. Mason, then <br />introduced Ordinance No. 8G2 entitled: "An Ordinance to Amend Ordinance No. <br />309, being an ordinance to regulate traffic on the streets and public highways <br />of the Village of Mayfield, by adding Section 18.1 pertaining to Reckless <br />Driving Off Streets and Highways", which ordinance was read to Council. <br />It was moved by Mr. Belzer, seconded by AZr: GTallcer, that the rules of <br />law requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Call; Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett,Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. Motior? carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />_ It was moved by Mr. Belzer, seconded by Mr. rlason, that Ordinance No. <br />862 be approved and passed as read, " <br />Roll Call; Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. Motion carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Mr. Edelman then read Ordinance No. 841 entitled: "An Ordinance to <br />Amend the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Mayfield, by Transferring <br />Certain Property in the Northwest Portion Into Class U-3 and U-4 Use <br />Districts,"which ordinance was read to Council. This ordinance covered <br />rezoning f or the Camelot Development. This ordinance was then placed upon <br />its third reading. Mayor Endress then read a letter from the Mayfield Civic <br />Council asking that this ordinance not be approved. It was then moved by <br />Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Belzer, that Ordinance No. 841 be approved.and <br />passed as read. ' <br />Roll Call; Ayes - Bennett and Belzer, <br />Nays - Shaxa, Walker, Mason and Sloan. <br />Motion not carried <br />Ordinance not passed <br />Mayor Endress then read a letter f rom Mrs. Sally Herzbrun, resigning f rom <br />the Village due to ill health. Mayor Endress remarked that she had been training <br />a new girl for her job. Mayor Endress then recommended that Council approve <br />this resignation effective October 31, 1964. It was then moved by Mr. Mason, <br />seconded by Mr. Shaui, that'this recommendation be accepted witti regret and <br />thanks tendered f or her services o£ the last three months, in training a new <br />girl, and for her services during the past five years. , <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzere <br />Nays - None. <br />Nlotion carried <br />Mayor Endress then read the reports from the various departments to <br />Councile <br />4.
