<br />STANDARD COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Budget/Appropriations - Mr. Bennett stated that ithe Village has been' <br />audited during the last three or four months covering the past two <br />years. The auditor had a meeting kith 'the Mayor and Finance Director <br />and he had been invited to attend. Every department had a good re- <br />port and the auditor complimented the office help for their assistance. <br />Paper money of $11,000.00 had been overlooked by previous auditors <br />in the street fund and it will be added to the $42,000.00 for repair <br />of Village Streets. <br />Mr. Relic clarified that the $11,000.00 went back to the years of <br />1968 and 1969. <br />Mr. Bennett reported that the audit was fine except for failure to <br />sign a few documents. Cost aE this audit was $3,533.00. <br />The Committee had reviewed the Budget and recommended :that it be passed <br />by Council this evening. ~ . <br />Resolution 79-33, entitled: "A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A BUDGET-FOR THE <br />YEAR 1980." Introduced by Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Bennett, seconded: by Mr. Boger, made a motion to pass Resolution <br />79-33. <br />Rol]: Call : AYES : All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Resolution Passed <br />Mr-. Relic exp~tessed his appreciation. <br />Mr. Bennett stated the Committee had meetings with all Departments re <br />their wage increase and~the ordinance up for adaption this evening <br />can be considered with a few minor amendments to be made. <br />Ordinance 79-34, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING SALARIES,,RATES <br />OF COMPENSATION, VACATION SCHEDULE, PAID HOLIDAYS AND OTHER BENEFITS <br />FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE MUNICIPALITY REPEALING ORDINANCE 78-29 AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. :Bennett said the employees were given 8/,across'-ahe board raise. <br />with a few areas adjusted. They have been trying to -bring all Depts. <br />to a-level of comparable to surrounding communitites for the past <br />four years . ~ ~ ' <br />In addition to the 8%, an extra floating holiday was given which <br />brings the total to nine paid holidays over :and above their-regular <br />vacations. ~ ~~ <br />Mr.'Benne,tt,-seconded by.Mr..$oger,. made a motion to suspend 'the: rules <br />of law requiring an ordinance to be read three srpar.ate.occasions. <br />.~ <br />
