<br />-6- <br />GENERAL REPORTS <br />Mayor Leech reported on the outcome of the HUD meeting regarding <br />the Flood Prone Areas. He stated that approximately 25-30 <br />residents were in attendance. He said that the federal govern- <br />ment is improving laws in flood areas and also that restrictions <br />will be placed on new structures to be build in flood prone areas. <br />The Mayor stated that he was proud of his employees and commended <br />all on the excellent work done this past year, and that they <br />have been a thriving and good people to work with. ~- <br />Mayor Leech advised that he may exercise his privilege to veto <br />passage of Ordinance 75-19 concerning increase in Mayor's salary. <br />Mr. Hovancsek commented that he will thoroughly review the Flood <br />Prone Area maps provided by HUD. He also reported that notices <br />will be prepared for water assessments to the residents on Echo <br />Drive. <br />Nlr. Bennett reported that he has information regarding federal funds <br />for a bike path.
