- 3- <br />Council President°s Comments: <br />Mr. Barclay read a letter he received from the Planning & Zoning <br />Commission for an amendment to~the Off-Street Parking Ordinance. <br />When the ordinance caas amended last fall, the Industrial Park <br />parking requirements were omitted. Therefore he will draft an <br />amendment and present it to Council. <br />Standing_Commttee Reports: <br />Finance - Mr. Bennett reported there would be a Pay Ordinance to <br />be passed later in meeting and also an ordinance for bids for <br />Police Cars. <br />Public Safety - Mr. Flynn advised that there were many ordinances <br />to be passed under New Business. <br />Public 5ervice~--and Public Utilities - Mr. Busa read minutes from <br />the February 2, 1976 meeting. He advised that a meeting with DOT <br />for widening of SOM Center was set up for February 16, 1976, but <br />was cancelled due to the Holiday. He also stated a legal petition <br />must be drawn up for Beech Hill paving. <br /> Bicentennial - Mrs. Negrelli reported that a Village Seal had been <br /> selected and seals will be available for vehicles. The n ext meeting <br /> of the committee will be held March 25th. <br /> Council of Councils - Mrs. Negrelli advised that the next meeting <br /> will be held February 25, 1976 at the Kiwanis Hall. She said the <br /> last meeting was quite interesting which pertained to Gun Control. <br />Planninq & Zoning - Mr. Schulte read the minutes of the February 9, <br />1976 meeting. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Schulte read the minutes of the January 20, <br />1976 meeting. <br />Recreation - Mr. Bennett reported the next meeting will be held <br />February 18, 1976. <br />MARL - Mr. Flynn gave a brief summary of the January 29,.1976 meeting. <br />Special Committee: <br />Village Nevas aper - Mr. Bennett stated he had a statement to read <br />pertaining to the newspaper and wanted it to be recorded in the <br />minutes. <br />Mr. Barclay asked if it was his own personal statement or that of <br />the committee. <br />Mr. Bennett replied after he read it, it could be decided. <br />Mr. Barclay disagreed and stated if he alone had written and signed <br />it, it would be Mr. Bennett°s own personal statement. <br />See statement attached. <br />
