~~~ <br />_~- <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Schulte, made a motion to pass Ordinance <br />76-17. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Busa, Flynn, Grogan, <br />Mrs. Negrelli and Mr. Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Ordinance 76-18, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE AND DIRECT THE <br />MAYOR AND FINANCE DIRECTOR TO TAKE COMPETITIVE BID5 WITHOUT ADVER- <br />TISING AND ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A CONCRETE <br />DRIVEWAY TO PROVIDE INGRESS AND EGRESS TO SOM CENTER ROAD FOR SAFETY <br />AND SERVICE VEHICLES, TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS, AND TO DECLARE AN EMER- <br />GENCY", caas introduced by Mayor Beebe. <br />Mr. Grogan questioned how the figure of $7,200 was reached? Mr. Byrnes <br />answered it was an estimated cost. <br />Mr. Bennett stated the area in question was discussed last year and <br />agreed on by Council, to put in a concrete driveway. <br />Mr. Barclay stated that this caas a frivilous expenditure of monies, <br />dut to the fact that if a safety building were built the driveway <br />may have to be removed. <br />Mr. Schulte stated that the Public Service and Public Utilities <br />Committee recommended the driveway be put in. <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Schulte, made a motion to suspend the <br />rules of law requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate <br />occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: rTessrs., Bennett, Busa, Flynn, Grogan, Mrs. Negrelli <br />and Mr. Schulte <br />NAYS: Mr. Barclay <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Bennett, made a motion to pass Ordinance 76-18. <br />Roll Ca11: AYES: Messrs., Bennett, Busa, Flynn, Grogan, Mrs. Negrelli <br />and Mr. Schulte <br />NAYS: Mr. Barclay <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Resolution 931, entitled; "A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ACTION OF THE <br />MAYOR AUTHORIZING THE LAW DIRECTOR TO PREPARE NOTICE OF APPEAL IN <br />THE b1ATTER OF DOLORES M. MYOTTE VS. HAYFIELD VILLAGE", was intro- <br />duced by Mayor Beebe. <br />Mr. Grogan questioned if this is generally the usual way to file <br />an appeal? <br />
