~~ <br />-7- <br />Roll Call: ~~YES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro, Busa, Flynn, <br />Grogan and Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />ORDINANCE 77-12, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF <br />ORDINANCE 76-17 PROVIDING FOR A UNIFORM LAUNDRY ALLOWANCE FOR ALL <br />SERVICE DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY", was introduced <br />by Mr. Schulte. <br />Mr. Bordonaro, seconded by Mr. Schulte, made a motion to suspend the <br />rules of law requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro, Busa, Flynn, <br />Grogan and Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Schulte, seconded by Mr. Bennett, made a motion to pass Ord. 77-12. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro, Busa, Flynn, <br />Grogan and Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Mr. Grogan advised the next item on the Agenda was the Motion (tabled <br />Jan. 3) to approve the Mayor's Appointment of the Law Director. <br />Mr. Bordonaro, seconded by Mr. Schulte, made a motion to confirm the <br />Mayor's appointment of the Law Director. <br />P. discussion followed: <br />Mr. Grogan stated that the objection of the appointment was due to the <br />high increase in fees. <br />Mr. Barclay read an excerpt of Mayor Beebe's letter to Council from <br />Mr. Byrnes pertaining to the fees.' <br />Mr. Rela.~ ~xsked permission to speak and was granted by Mr. Grogan. <br />Mr. Relic stated that a transition change would cost an astonomical <br />amount and a change would be a big loss to the Village at this time. <br />He said if the Law Director is doing a good job why not keep him - if <br />he is not doing a good job then let him go. Is the only objection the <br />increase in fees? <br />Mr. Grogan stated this is not a political issue and that each Councilman <br />should have a chance to speak. <br />
