~o <br />-2- <br />Tom Keptner, 6796 Seneca Road, asked Council fo they would <br />help financially to improve Clear Acres Field - cost is approx- <br />imately $1500. <br />The Mayor advised that this would be answered later in the meet- <br />ing. <br />Al Peterson, 66G Echo Dr. - wanted to ask a few questions, such <br />as what the cost of service was in 1976 and if an additional fire- <br />fighter and vehicle is added, where the money coming from~~.and how <br />do other communities comparable to our size maintain themselves? <br />Mr. Grogan answered that $13,000 for a firefighter and $18,000 for <br />a vehicle has been appropriated for in the budget. <br />Mr. Flynn told Mr. Peterson that he would go over some statistics <br />he has from a survey. <br />Michael Bordonaro, 6843 Metro Park Dr. - asked if there was any <br />information regarding the bike path. <br />Mr. Grogan replied no further information at this time. <br />There being no further comments from the floor, that portion of <br />the meeting concluded. <br />Mr. Schulte, seconded by Mr. Bordonaro, made a motion to approve <br />the minutes of the March 21, 1977 Council Meeting. <br />Mr. Busa suggested the minutes not be approved as they do not <br />reflect the Mayor's veto to ordinance 77-14. <br />Mr. Grogan said this would be included in minutes of tonights meet- <br />ing. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bordonaro, Flynn, Grogan and <br />Schulte <br />NAYS: Messrs., Bennett and Busa <br />MAYOR'S COMMENTS: <br />Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />The Mayor said that in answer to the Recreation Boards request, he <br />has contacted the School Board and asked if they would maintain the <br />ball field on the Center School grounds and the Village Service <br />Dept. will~~~~mantain Clear Acres. He suggested to Mr. Keptner that <br />bids and costs for repairing fiends should be discussed with the <br />Building Commissioner. Mr. Relic anticipates $2000. will be avail- <br />able in June and possibly in December which should put the Recre- <br />ation Board in good shape. He also requested that all requisitions <br />should come through the Mayor and Finance Director before purchasing. <br />Mayor Beebe advised that $125,000 worth of Fire Equipment was parked <br />in the parking lot for all Villagers to observe and prove that the <br />Village Fire Department is well equipped. <br />
