-5- Mr. Schulte, seconded by blr. Bennett, made a motion to pass Ordinance 77-17. Mr. Relic asked for the passage of the Ord. so it could be filed with the Auditor on the January tai: bill. Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro, Flynn, Grogan and Schulte NAYS: None Motion Carried Ordinance Passed Resolution 985, entitled; "A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT THE BID OF GIBBON EQUIPMENT CObIPANY IS THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE PNEUNLATIC DEMOLITION PACKAGE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY", was introduced by AIr. Barclay. Mr. Amendola reported that only one bid was made, by Gibson Equipment Co., and they had an alternative bid of used equipment. Mr. Relic asked Mr. Amendola if, in his opinion, the used equip. would last: Mr. Amendola replied yes, in consideration of the fact its use would be limited. Mr. Relic asked Council if they intend to appropriate additional funds? Mr. Amendola reported that $4500. had been appropriated and vaould cover the used equipment bid of $4195. Mr. Barclay, seconded by bor. Schulte, made a motion to suspend the rules of law requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions. Roll Ca11: AYE5: Idessrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro, Flynn, Grogan and Schulte NAYS: None bIo~tion Carried Resolution Adopted Resolution 986, entitled; "A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT THE BID OF THE HORVTTZ COMPANY IS THE LO~JEST AND BEST BTD FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF I.ZEADO- WOOD DRIVE AND EASTGATE DRIVE BY RESURFACING GJITH ASPHALT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY", was introducted by Council as a ti~Thole. Ivir. Hovancsek recommended Horvitz Company as the best and lowest bid.
