.~. <br />-2- <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Busa, Flynn and Grogan. <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Grogan, Made a motion to approve the min. <br />of the Special Meeting of August 23, 1977 as corrected. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Busa, Flynn and Grogan <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />MAYOR'S COMMENTS: <br />Mayor Beebe stated that Mr. Bordonaro and Mr. Relic were absent due <br />to illness in their families. <br />Mr. Charles Sedgley, 885 Joyce Road, approved by Chief Hejc1P was <br />sworn in by Mr. Lawrence Byrnes,~as apart-time volunteer fireman. <br />Mayor Beebe stated two other selections had been made but were not <br />present. Hopefully they would be in attendance at the next Council <br />meeting. <br />Mayor Beebe said he had a complete police report on the incident <br />that was covered in the newspapers last night concerning Donald <br />Stevens, who gave chase to a traffic violator. He commended Sgt. <br />Stevens for his dedication. <br />Mayor Beebe informed Council they would be getting, in their Friday's <br />packets, literature on the Cancer Bike-a-thou. He felt it was a <br />good cause and their was a form for anyone interested in getting in <br />volved. <br />Also, the Ohio Lupus Foundation, Inc, had requested that the week <br />of September 18-24, 1977 be proclaimed as National Lupus week. He <br />said President Carter was backing this disease proclaimation and <br />would like to have an informal proclaimation. <br />Mr. Byrnes said he could have this in written form. <br />Mayor Beebe stated that the Ohio 4-H Club had also requested to <br />have the week of October 2-8, 1977 as National 4-H week and asked <br />Mr. Byrnes to prepare the proclaimation. <br />~ .L <br />COUNCIL PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS.: <br />Mr. Grogan said he along with Mr. Relic, had attended the Myotte <br />hearing in the Court of Appeals. Results of the hearing would be <br />available within 60 days. <br />
