132 <br />-2- <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Schulte, made a motion to approve the minutes <br />of October 4, 1977 Special Council Meeting. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro, Flynnrr and <br />Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />ABSTAIN: Messrs., Busa and Grogan <br />Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />Mr. Grogan advised that minutes for Council, Board of Appeals Meetings <br />will be approved at the next Council Board of Appeals meeting. <br />MAYOR'S COMMENTS• <br />Mayor Beebe stated that he was very disappointed in the delay of delivery <br />for the Voice of the Village. It took approximately 11 days from the date <br />they were taken to the Post Office. Consequently, 3 meeting dates an- <br />nounced in the VOV were missed. <br />The Mayor read a Proclamation he received, Proclaming November, 1977 <br />Retarded Citizens Month. <br />Mayor Beebe stated that at the last meeting someone asked what the cost <br />of an election would be? The cost is approximately $4,000. <br />The Mayor advised of the Pumpkin Hunt to be held on Sunday, October <br />we, 1977 at 4:00 P.M. sponsered by the Recreation Commission. <br />Mr. Relic arrived at this time, 8:25 P.M. <br />COUNCIL PRE5ID~3N'1'S COMMENTS <br />Mr. Grogan announced that Council Caucus will be held on Tuesday, October <br />25, at 7:30 P.'M. <br />Mr. Grogan urged all residents to vote in the November 8th general election. <br />Four Council seats will be open for vote. Residents who did not register <br />will be able to register on the same date as the election. <br />Mr. Grogan stated that the street sign for Kenwood Estates has been missing <br />for the last 60 days and the residents would like to have the sign replaced <br />or the old sign retrieved. - <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Budget%Appropriations - Mr. Bennett read the following report: <br />The Budget & Appropriations Committee met with the Mayor and Police <br />Dept. on Wednesday, September 21, 1977. Requests were heard from the <br />Police regarding salaries and benefits. It is now in committee for <br />study. <br />The Budget and Appropriations met on Wednesday, Septmember 28, 1977 in ' <br />Mr. Relic,'s office with two men form the State Auditor's office regarding <br />the audit of our records.
