Ford being the only company that will possibly make the larger cars this year. He said the serviceablility of these compacts will be practicle but will not compare to the larger cars when in chase of violators. Mr. Grogan, seconded by Mr. Bennett, made a motion to authorize advertisement for bids for three police cars. Mayor Beebe commented the cars to be replaced are numbers 4611 4612 and 4681. Roll Call:. AYES: All NAYS: None l .~ Motion Carried Authorization Given Resolution 78-21, entitled, '!A~~RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT OR CONTRACTS WITH DONALD JAKEWAY FOR FEDERAL GRANT APPLICATIONS", was introduced by Council as a Whole. Mr. Bordonaro, seconded by Mr. Bennett, made a motion to suspend the rules of law requiring a resolution to be read on three sep- arate occasions. Roll Call: AYES: ALL NAYS: None Motion Carried Rules Suspended Mr. Bordonaro, seconded by Mr. Bennett, made a motion to pass Resolution 78-21. There was a discussion of the 1/ fee charged with Mayor Beebe questioning the fact that his fee could be over:_the $2500.00 limit which would indicate the need to advertise for bids. Mr. Planicka stated in this situation it would not be necessary and no problems should arise.
