He commented that the middle sized cars <br />are becoming mandatory contrary to specs for the larger cars. <br />Ford being the only company that will possibly make the larger <br />cars this year. He said the serviceablility of these compacts <br />will be practicle but will not compare to the larger cars when <br />in chase of violators. <br />Mr. Grogan, seconded by Mr. Bennett, made a motion to authorize <br />advertisement for bids for three police cars. <br />Mayor Beebe commented the cars to be replaced are numbers 4611 <br />4612 and 4681. <br />Roll Call:. AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />l .~ <br />Motion Carried <br />Authorization Given <br />Resolution 78-21, entitled, '!A~~RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />ENTER INTO A CONTRACT OR CONTRACTS WITH DONALD JAKEWAY FOR FEDERAL <br />GRANT APPLICATIONS", was introduced by Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Bordonaro, seconded by Mr. Bennett, made a motion to suspend <br />the rules of law requiring a resolution to be read on three sep- <br />arate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: ALL <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Bordonaro, seconded by Mr. Bennett, made a motion to pass <br />Resolution 78-21. <br />There was a discussion of the 1/ fee charged with Mayor Beebe <br />questioning the fact that his fee could be over:_the $2500.00 <br />limit which would indicate the need to advertise for bids. <br />Mr. Planicka stated in this situation it would not be necessary <br />and no problems should arise. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Passed <br />Mr. Busa stated the subject of Maplegrove Vacation had been mis- <br />takenly left off the agenda and asked Mr. Hovancsek for his com- <br />ments on the subject. <br />Mr. Hovancsek stated that a portion of Maplegrove was vacated <br />years back and the balan:ceewas approved for vacation by the Plan- <br />ning and Zoning Commission and all adjacent property owners have <br />
