Question of Raliegh/Worton/Joyce Roads is still under study. <br />Copies of this letter will be circulated to Council. <br />Since the Beech Hill Foot Bridge had become a definite safety <br />hazard, Mayor Beebe and Council approved its removal. If needed <br />again, it can be replaced. <br />COUNCIL PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS: <br />Mr. Busa announced that Mayfield Heights Heritage Days will be <br />held July 7, 8, and 9 and it would be nice for our community to <br />attend. <br />The solicitation for the Ohio Public Interest Campaign Canvass, <br />June .20 to August 30 will be discussed at the next Caucus meeting. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Budget & Appropriations - The Budget and Appropriation Committee <br />scheduled a meeting to review the Tax Budget at the next Caucus, <br />June 27, 1978. Mr. Relic received a letter from the Recreation <br />Board asking for an increase in contracted services for their <br />coordinator, Gary Bill, from $1500.00 to $2000.00 per year. The <br />request was submitted to Mr. Bennett's Committee. They will re- <br />view and report to Council. <br />Public Safety:- Mr. Flynn reported that the New Fire Truck had <br />been delivered. Four of our firemen~tcompleted their paramedic <br />course at Richmond Hospital. Mr. Flynn recommended that Ptl. <br />Wheatcroft attend the next meeting. <br />Public Service & Public Utilities - Mr. Flynn said that we are <br />ready to approve the contract between the Mayor and-C.E.I. for <br />the Sodium Lamps o.n Beta Drive. <br />The tour of the Beech Hill Pumping Station was rescheduled for <br />June 27, at 7:00 P.M. <br />After discussion of the cost of signalization on Wilson Mills <br />Mr. Hovancsek explained that the project, estimated at $177,000 <br />will be financed by the $5.00 license fee. Mayfield Village <br />and Highland Heights will share the Engineering fees based on <br />this figure. Ptl. Wheatcroft will meet with Council on June 27th <br />at 9:00 P.M. to discuss the Wilson Mills signalization Project, <br />Architectzzral Review Board:- Mr. Amendola reported that six sets <br />of drawings had been reviewed at the last meeting for a total of <br />$385,000.00. <br />
