~~~
Recreation Director for the Baseball Coordinator, Gary Bill. The
Committee had approved an additional sum of $500.00 per year which
would bring the total to $2,000.00 per year. This is paid at $250.00
per month from May thru August. The remaining eight months at $125.00
per month.- The Committee felt this was a fair adjustment since
Mr. Bill has been working for the past four years at $1500.00 per yr.
and his duties have doubled since he started. The increase would be
retroactive since May.
Mr. Grogan stated that he ahad attended several games and they were
all missing an umpire. If he had been aware of this before voting
on the increase, he would have voted against it.
Mr. Bennett was to check with Mr. Bill in regard to this.
Mr. Flynn commented that perhaps the umpire situation was due to
the fact that Mr. Bill was out of town on vacation. Mrs. Flynn has
been helping with the paper work since he left.
Mr. Flynn, seconded Mr. Bennett, made a motion to approve the increase
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS : None_1_
Motion Carried
Increase Approved
Mr. Bennett questioned the situation with the new Police Cars.
Chief Shortle commented that new cars were here but not in service yet.
Public Safety: Mr. Flynn commented that Don Porter came in first
place on a 200 Hour course given by the Fire Academy.
Public Service & Public Utilities: Mr. Hovancsek submitted a sketch
to Council on the foot bridge on Beech Hill.
