~2~
when the Engineer's Fee is to be paid. Mr. Relic replied that the
fee would be paid in a reasonable amount of time.
Mr. Bennett asked if Mr. Hovancsek could give them some estimated
time the construction would start. Mr. Hovancsek replied that it
was anticipated sometime in August. Mr. Bennett questioned if Wilson
Mills would be closed off during construction since Mayfield Road
is still partially closed. Mr. Hovancsek replied that traffic would
be kept flowing until they started to lay the asphalt and then it
would be closed the least amount of time as possilbe. _
Mr. Bennett said the striping had not been done as yet and wondered
why since the contract did include this cost. Mr. Amendola stated
that the County had striped several streets after saying they would
do noe and they were waiting to see if the Count~S%was going to do
Wilson Mills. He said he would get in touch with the County and
have an answer for them in a few days.
Mr. Flynn questioned the drainage system along Wilson Mills and how
they were going to be handled at the time of construction. Mr. Hovancsek
said the drains were part of the contract and would be constructed to fit
the need.
Paving and Repair of Streets: Mr. Hovancsek said bids were due 7/28/78.
Police Chief Appointment - Mayor Beebe stated that the Civil Service
Commission is working with Case Western Reserve in the testing. He
said vacations were interfering to some extent but no major problem.
NEW BUS~I~JESS
Mr. Bordonaro asked if any problems had arisen out of enforcement of
the ordinance on vehicle parking violations? Mr. Amendola reported
that notices had been sent out with still more to follow. He said the
present ordinance is not effective as far as being enforceable in re
to the citations. Mr. Feneli commented the office is working on the
new ordinance and Mr. Busa requested it be expedited as soon as possible.
C.E.I. Contract Renewal: The Cuyahoga County Mayors Association is
pursuing it as a whole and Council agreed that this is the best way to
handle the matter.
Resolution 78-33, entitled: "A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE
YEAR 1979.E Introduced by Council as a Whole.
Mr. Relic stated the resolution is the routine form used every year.
It has to be certified to the Auditor's Office before July 20th. He
said the Budget & Appropr-..cation Committee had met on the Budget and
after having an indepth review all agreed it was satisfactory to meet
the needs of the Village. He estimated that in 1979 One-Million Dollars
will come into the office and also spent`o. The tax rate is 7.63 which
is a slight reduction from last year. Our bonded indebtedness by
Janury 1, 1979 is $72,000.00 and he felt this was outstanding for the
size of our municipality. Mr. Bennett commented that the tax rate has
been dropping for the past eight years. Mr. Busa said this is attrib-
uted to the great team effort between the Village Officials.
