Gould Company in the amount of $1,097.20 for. <br /> the sealing of the Village Hall Parking Lot. <br /> Roll Call: AYES: All <br /> NAYS: None Motion Carried <br /> Bid Accepted <br /> Mr. Amendola topprepare Burchase Order. <br />1 <br />1 <br />Wilson Mills - East of S.O.M. - Mr. Hovancsek said delays had occurred <br />due to the death of the father of one of the Engineers which cancelled <br />the July 27th meeting and the first three weeks in August, vacations had <br />taken place. 'Now that the work had started again he anticipated a meet- <br />ing being rescheduled in the near future. The Village was one of many <br />on the construction. waiting list. CouY.cil felt the Village was getting <br />the runaround and asked Steve if a letter from his office asking for <br />a total picture of what we can look forward to would have any effect - <br />Mr. Hovancsek to write a letter. <br />Beech Hill Foot Bridge - There was a discussion with Mr. Hovancsek <br />reporting that bids were due for the project on September 8th. <br />Police Chief Appointment - Mr. Avery is to meet with the C.S.C. this week. <br />Ordinance 78-34, entitled: "AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE REGULATING SOLICI- <br />TATION AT RESIDENCES WITHIN THE VILLAGE AND AMENDING CHAPTER 739 OF THE <br />CODIFIED ORDINANCES. Given Second Reading. <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />Since three Council members were absent, it was impossible to have the <br />necessary five votes to suspend the rules on emergency legislation. <br />Therefore, Ordinance 78-37, 78-38, 78-39, 78-40 and 78-41 were put on <br />First Reading. A Special Mee,~:ing of Council will be held on Tuesday, <br />August 29,.1978 at 8:00 to consider these ordinances and any other <br />matter that may come before Council. <br />East Ohio Gas Company - Request for permission. to do line work - Mr. <br />Hovancsek commented that the gas company was wanting to install test <br />boxes that would ~i3.ndicate the degree of corrosion in the gas lines. <br />There was a discussion on the degree of construction involved with <br />Council having no desire for Village sidewalks being torn up again <br />this winter. Mayor Beebe asked if the Village could be notified of <br />the exact location for the construction so the resident can be informed. <br />Mr. Hovancsek stated he was meeting with the Gas People at 10:00 tomorrow <br />and perhaps he co~~ld get the information then. He would report back to <br />the Mayor. <br />Mr. Joe Balogh, representative from the East Ohio Gas Company, commented <br />on the type.of work he felt would be occurring and indicated Mr. Hovancsek <br />should be able to obtain all the information at the meeting he is to attend- <br />Mayor Beebe complimented Mr. Balogh on the fine job he has done with the <br />"Community Profile" brochure the Company has done on the Village. <br />Mr. Busa called a recess at 9:10 P.M. <br />Meeting reconvened at 9:20 P.M. <br />Mr. Busa stated that Karen Dubinsky, reporter for the Sun Messenger, <br />
