24-3 Mr. Hovancsek said theyr.(.Progressive Insurance Co.) had put up a $20,000.00 bond for traffic surveilance and pavement modification. Mr. Busa commented that the Village has been waiting on the County .since 1970 in regard to signalization. Mr. Grogan commented that things were out of control - it seems all we do is wait on the County. There being no further comment, that portion of the meeting closed. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES Mr. Grogan, seconded by Mr. Bordonaro, made a motion to approve the minutes of the Special Meeting of August 29, 1978. Roll Call: AYES: A1~1 NAYS: None 1 STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS Motion Carried Minutes Approved Budget/Appropriations - Mr. Grogan stated that the committee would be having a meeting within the next 30 days. Public Safety - Mr. Flynn said there were two men to be sworn in as volunteer firefighters. Mr. Feneli asked-the men to come forward and take the oath of office: Mike Santilli - Jerry Blackburn Mr. Flynn asked Council to consider authorizing the purchase of uni- forms for the auxiliary police totaling $1650.00. Mr.. Relic questioned if legislation for this expense would have to be drafted. It was re- ferred to the Finance Committee with their recommendations to be made at the Council meeting on the 26th. Mr. Flynn saa,d he would like to see the new sign for Wilson Mills/SOM up as soon as possible. Also, the bus stop at Rali.egh Dr. is blocking the view. Public Service & Public Utilities - Mr. Flynn .commented on the bid re- ceived on the Foot Bridge for Beech Hill. Architectural Review Board - Mr. Amendola reported on the meeting of August 17th with plans reviewed estimated in.value of $105,000.00~.~ Cemetery - No Report Council of Councils - Mr. Grogan reported a meeting will be held two weeks from Wednesday. Mayfield Heights is presently considering a new ordinance re trucks parking in residential areas. He would try to get a copy for Mr. Avery to, review. He was pleased to be a part of the Council of Councils as they have much to offer.
