These sewers run
north to drain into the ravine above Fishers Tavern. He looked for
a meeting to be scheduled after the footers and walls are complete.
There is a shortage of materials which tends to slow down construction.
Municipal Center Committee - Matters regarding this would be dis=
cussed in the Executive Session.
Mr. Busa asked for a 10 minute recess at 9:15 P.M.
Meeting reconvened at 9:25 P.M.
OLD BUSINESS
Hanover Woods Development - Mr..Hovancsek stated plans had been sub-
mitted for Phase I and a meeting is being scheduled this week with
Mr. Patterson. Careful consideration would be given to minimize
future headaches for the Village. Chief Hejcl elaborated on the
overlapping of fire protection in this area between Gates Mills and
Mayfield Village. It was his recommendation that the Village assume
all responsibility as residents would benefit from our Rate 5 class-
ification. Under the Mutual Aid, the Vill3age would be the first to
respond anyways. Discussion was held with Mr: Flynn and Mr. Hovan-
csek to confer with the Law Director, who, according to Mr. Feneli,
was considering annexation or boundary changes as an alternate to
Mutual Aid. Mr. Flynn to report to Council as soona..as possible.
SOM CENTER FLOOD CONTROL - Mr. Hovancsek said he had submitted pre-
liminary plans to Council and urged Council to authorize this work
to be done as soon as possible. Law Dept. to prepare the legislation.
Wilson Mills - East of SOM - Mr. Hovancsek stated the Federal, County
and State Engineers met .with Isis.associate Mr. Goodell and himself 'and
the changes are presently being made and will be sent to Columbus. to
be programmed. He had been in contact with Mr. Gallito at the County's
office and was told that some temporary work would be done this Fall.
Mr. Grogan questioned the work that is presently being done - Mr. Hovan-
csek reported that the County had replaced a pipe that collapsed:
Police Chief and Ser eant Appointment Pro ress - Mr. Amendola to see
if any information could be supplied to Council regarding the matter.
Beech Hill Foot Bridge - Mr. Amendola said information had been placed
in Councils packets Friday re the bridge made by the Herbert Jennings
Corporation which he had reviewed with Steve. The cost of the bridge
plus installation would total $6500 to $7000. The one bid received
on the bridge was $12,000. Council had requested if the Service Dept.
could tackle the job with supervision from the Engineer. If the
Service Dept. built the bridge, the fill could be taken from the
Ball Diamond and the men would work on the week-ends - he figured
the job could be done in excess of $4000.00 It is hard to estimate
the cost of the hand labor but it shouldn't be over $4500.00.
