Also, no plans have been
started for the traffic light that was to have been put up because of the
traffic increase expected from the Heinen's store. Traffic is a problem
now, what will it be after the store opens. Why ca.n't a traffic survey
be taken.
Nlr. Hovancsek stated the traffic won't increase until the store is opened
and until the volume indicates the need the State will not consider it.
Mr .. Busa said there will eventually be a light, we just have to keep
pushing.
Mr. Hite asked why an estimated traffic survey coudln't be submitted
based .on the other Heinen stores so the State could be made aware o~_ the
need.
Mr. Hovancsek said it can be reviewed:and a minimum warrant volume
established. Once this f_tigtire is met, then the State will let us adver-
tise for bids.
Mr . Bus a suggested that the ~ rzb~j ec±:i,,~~ .-,G~~ ought up at the Heinen' s. It cannot
be resolved in a gentlemenly manner and felt Council should pave the road
asd assess the benefiting property owners.
A discussion was held with .the Law Director to review the findings of
the previous Law Director. Mr. Byrnes. The~gixestion being if the
Village would be developing private property.
