2:5 <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Boger, seconded by Mr. Bennett, made a motion to pass Ordinance 78-55. <br />Mr. Grogan stated that this would bring the"!Auxilliary Police Unit up to <br />comparison with the Volunteer Firemen and Since tY~is is part of our <br />answer to additional help requested by the Administration he would urge <br />passage. <br />Mayor Beebe heartily endorsed the ordinance but it should be noted that <br />the Auxilliary Police do not have the same authority as the regular <br />Policemen and this will not put more cars on the road. <br />Mr. Bennett stated that for the past 18 years the Auxilliary Police have <br />not been paid and expressed his-appreciation. . <br />Mr. Relic requested that all time worked by the Auxilliary Police be <br />certified.by the Chief of Police to the Finance Department. P aid <br />quarterly. <br />Mr. Bordonaro questioned if the Auxilliary Police would be used in an <br />emergency? <br />A/C Litman replied yes but they would have the same power as a citizen <br />making an arrest. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ord~.ar~~~°':i~ assed <br />>_Ordinance 78-56, entitled: "AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION <br />509..03 .(f) OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCE", was introduced by Mrs. Hanus. <br />Mr. Feneli explained the context of the ordinance: -• <br />Mr. Grogan, seconded by Mrs. Hanus, made a motion to suspend the <br />rules of law requiring an ordinance to be read on three ,separate. <br />occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYE5: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Nuclear Waste Ordinance - Discussion was held on why the ordinance was <br />not prepared f.or toriight~~;s meeting as the Law Director had promised. <br />Further discussion to be held in the Executive Session. Mr. Hovancsek <br />remarked that he would get a similar ordinance from Highland Heights for <br />reference. <br />Assistant Electrical Inspector - The rate to be paid was discussed ($10.00 <br />per hour) with legisslation to be prepared for the next meeting so the <br />matter can be finalized before January. <br />Comprehensive Liablility Insurance - Discussion was held .on the procedure <br />of getting a contract for this insurance with Mr. Relic stating that <br />
