2. <br />There being no further comments from the floor the mayor called the <br />meeting to order at 8:25 P.M. <br />Ro1Z Call: Present: Mayor Beebe, Messrs. Boger, Bordonaro, Braun, <br />Davis and Schmidt. <br />Late: Mr. Leech <br />A1so present were Messrs. Edelman, Foltz, Hovancsek, Relic, Chiefs <br />Hejcl and Shortle. <br />Mr. Boger, seconded by Mr. Davis, moved that the minutes of the March <br />20, 1972 Meeting be accepted as written. Ro11 Cal1: AYES: Messrs. <br />Boger, Bordonaro? Braun, Davis and Schmidt. NAYS: None. <br />' Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />Old Business: <br />Water Pollution: Mr. EdeLnan: Judge McMonagle made a decision on all <br />phases of water pollution. He ordered a formation of a Regional Sewer <br />Authority; 3 appointed by the City of Clevelazcd, 2 by the County Com- <br />missioners representing the suburbs and 2 by the governor. Court de- <br />cided to keep in effect the rates established by the City of Cleveland <br />subject to adjustment, as needed. The $29,000,000.00 price set by the <br />decision is a favorable figure to the suburbs, however, Cleveland might <br />appeal it. The building ban is in effect. Mayor Beebe wi11 advise <br />council further relative to a coming state%ounty meeting on the sub- <br />ject. <br />Mr. Leech arrived at 8:30 P.M. <br />Flooding Areas & Road Conditions: Mayor Beebe stated that they are at <br />work on this. <br />Traffic Control on Wilson Mills: 'I'he final survey has not been complet- <br />ed. We are holding back because of further congestion problems that <br />may arise (Progressive) and further investigation o€ the $9,000.00 <br />Mayfield's share of the $130,000.00 total cost. <br />Pre-Caucus Hearings: Councilman Schmidt proposed to eliminate the <br />time before caucuses for some of the public airing of problems since <br />some seem to be a safety and service nature and to reschedule them prior <br />to the Safety and Service Committee Meetings. Mr. Basile, Chairman of <br />the Safety and Service Committee, was directed to allow one-half hour <br />to public discussion prior to meeting on first Monday of each month. <br />Slides were shown of the burning of the condemned home-on SOM Center <br />Rd. as well as slides of the recent tree planting, headed by Richard <br />Shatten.
