3.

New Business:
Complexicable: A 6-page proposal was received in March re "CATV" nine
channel, 200' tower to be located in the area -- ? Mayor Beebe asked
and received individual councilmen's reaction to the proposal and con-
cluded he'd answer by requesting more information from the company.
Mr. Schmidt will discuss it at Safety and Service Committee. It also
was suggested that the village does not enter into any business (profit)
enterprise with a private entity.
Street Repair/Re,pave: Mr. Hovancsek stated the cracking, eruptin$ and
failure of asphalt pavements is due to water and he advises 1'/2 to 2"
type replacement costing totally $119,600.00, with $8,000 to $10,000
as a starter. NJr. Relic suggested that you commense with Seneca Road,
Robley Lane, Zorn Lane as they have priority. fb16p180.00 expenditures
will complete these roads. In 1972 we should be able to spend
$17,000.00 or $18,000.00 on projects of this type. It all depends on
bids. Mr. Boger made a motion to send out for bids. Mr. Schmzdt wou].d
like the financial picture for the year before taking any actiono He
also made mention of buying equipment and the vi].lage doing the work.
Mr. Hovancsek didn't recommend it for Mayfield Village because of the
many factors involved. However, he will check into it and report
back. Mr. Relic suggested to confine this discussion to Seneca Road,
Robley Lane and Zorn Ian.e Circle. Mr. Hovancsek and/or Mr. D'Agostino
will work on the specifications.
General Clean-Up Plans: Mayor stated that we are now on a general clean
up type program. The Service and Police Departments are checking on
certain items and we are asking your cooperation. Very important! If
you suddenly receive a notice to remove a certain "thing" - please be
assured request came from police observation - not your neighbors.
Progressive Insurance Proposal: Messrs. Jack Bialosky and Richard
Haviland representing this company presented colored renderings for
their proposed facility at the southwest quadrant of I-271 and IiJilson
Mills Rd. Also financial assistance in the form of Cuyahoga County
bonds was discussed and they are asking council for a letter of re-
commendation to be presented in their behalf. Mr. Leech requested a
complete statement from them covering every detai.l to be spelled out
with county bond assistance, or whatever, in the event of a convention-
al type of loan. They wi11 cooperate and coordinate with the architect-
ural board and the police department and were referred back to Plann-
ing and 7oning Commission.
Liquor License: A request was made for a liquor license for Mr. Steak
House Restaurant on 4dilson Nlills Rd. on March 28 and requested an
answer no later than April 28.
RESOLUTION #817: Mr. Leech, seconded by Mr. Davis, introduced
RESOLUTION 17, Entitled: "A RESOLUTION OBJECTING TO THE ISSUANCE
OF A D-5 LIQUOR PERMIT TO TARY 146, INC., D.B.A. MR. STEAK, 146 IN THE
VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD, OHIO." The grounds for objection are: Nearness
to the school, nearness to the church, the close proximity of the resi-
dential district and general incompatability of the buildings going up.
