It would seem unwi se to have an additional paper pick- up truck parked in the Village Hall lot with a pick-up unit directly across the street. Councilman Schmidt: Relative to the rezoning acreage on IrJilson Mills high rise to residential propertyo He asked council for a reconsideration vote an this. "I made a mistake. I feel we have a moral issue involved here. I have not talked with deve].opers or friends of developers. I feel that someth.ing is wrong that should be rectified. I still feel the developer, 'John Jones' bought it in good faith and we were wrong in voting it back to residential. This is the property on Wilson Mills, referred to at times, as 'Upper Forty.' I make a motion for a reconsideration vote on Ordinance #72-1." There was no "second" to the motion, and it failed for want of a "secondo" Councilman Bordonaro asked Mr. Schmidt if he had new informat3on or new facts that caused this change of attitude. Mr. Schmidt replied "No." NELJ BUSINESS : Pro ressive Tnsurance Plans: Eleven questions, in Councilman Boger's letter of May , were answered in Mr. Ha.viland's letters of May 8, plus phone con- versations. Land use percen.tage figures were clarified. Discussion followed and it was reported by Progressive Company that in order not to have politi- cal repercussions, the county commissioners requested a letter to state that we have no objections to them. Mayor Beebe stated that there wi.ll be a follow-up letter on the percentages and rewriting paragraph 4. Mr. Boger, seconded by Mr. Leech, made a motion to write a letter to the Cuyahaga Caunty Commissioners stating that we have no objections to Progressive In.- surance Company locating in our village. Ro11 Call: AYES: Messrs. Boger, Bordonaro, Braun., Davis, Leech and Schmidt. NAYS: None. Motion Carried Complexicable: Mayor Beebe stated he had written Complexicable that we were opposed to a 200' tower, and we frown upon entering into a business tie-in with a private enterprise. A letter from the company disclaims a business tie-in. Discussion brou.ght out Mr. Boger's statement that we should get an opinion from the people. Mr. Leech stated that there may be competitors. Nir. Davis would like to meet with this company to hear what they have to say. Mayor Beebe summed it up as a question of aesthetics and need and we shall pursue it further with a meetinge Ma.yfield Recreation Park: Nlr. $raun stated facilities will have to be louilt to meet our growth needs. They have made land studies and found a very reasonable tract of 38 acres. People wil2 be sent a survey letter including a return addressed post card for an opinion.
