t
-6-
.Mro Schmidta Doesn't want to see water in their basements, but does
? not want to take on new responsibilities which we can't take on through-
? out the rest of the Village,.if we don't have money to go through the
? whole Vi1l.age. Given a first reading.
I
Upper View./Mi1-MaThe Mayor briefly recaped the meeting held at
CouncilCaucus August 16 with Frank Celeste, during which he felt there
was room for negoitiation. Our comments were few at meeting. All would
be kept updated. The Mayor reminded the people of the open caucuses,
but stated occasionally the door would be closed for specific strategy
with attorneys, internal hirings/firings, etc.
Bonnieview/Beech Hill Treatment Plant: Mayor Beebe stated plans from
the Sanitary Engineer were finally received, and asked Mr. Hovancsek to
reporz on the Regional Sewer District meeting attended ori the Village's
behalf. Mr. Hovancsek began by saying the proposal was made for easing
pollution at Beech Hi13/nonnieview for a one mi2lion gallon tank at a
cost of about one million do].laxs slated for construction in the Spring
of 1972o The system wi11 overflow four hours per year. Ohio Water
Pollution Author3.ty will absorb 100% of the cost, with 70% to be
remitted from users and 30% from the federal government at 53f% interest.
The cost for users would be about $.02 per cubic foot of water or $30
a yearo Presented the following problems: 1) Existing area is wooded
and plans.call for removal of trees with no screening. We asked for
trees and screening of the 1351 in diameter dome to which the:.Board
was responsive; 2) Requested the comminutor grind up a1l refuge so
solids would not go fl.oating through our streaans. Board felt this was
? not reasonable and too costly9 3) Requested fu11 auxiliary power duri.rig
I . ,
