(5) <br />Mr. Caplan was asked and presented further plans for an eight-story apartment, but <br />was agreeable to the present plans, since Council indicated that they were not in <br />accordance with the additional stories. <br />Mr. Schmidt withdrew proposed Ordinance No. 1068. <br />Heinan's store in the Village is near realization. The only thing standing in the <br />way of actual construction is the test borings. <br />Safety and Service: Mr. Schmidt. <br />Mr. Schmidt read the Minutes of the September 3, 1968 meeting. <br />Mr. Schmidt read a zeport from our Engineer and Solicitor concerning the overflow of <br />Beechers Broolc. The culvert at Wilson blills Road and Beechers Brook is of ample size <br />to carry the water. It was recommended that the creek be cleaned and back-charged to <br />the property owners. <br />Mr. Davis, seconded by Mr. Fitz-Gerald, made a motion that we release $16,500.00 to <br />the Young Fire Equipment Company for payment on the fire truck, subject to clarifica- <br />tion of whether we have received the title to the truck. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Jones, Donaldson, Schmidt, Davis. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried. <br />Mr, Schmidt, seconded by Mr. Davis, introduced a Resolution No. 747, entitled: "A <br />RESOLUTION.OF COMMENDATION FOR SARGEANT KRAHL, JR." <br />Mr. Comella, seconded by Mr. Davis, moved that the rules of law requiring a Resolution <br />to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Jones, Donaldson, Schmidt, Davis. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried. <br />Rules Suspended. <br />Mr. Davis, seconded by Mr. Schmidt, moved that Resolution No. 747 be approved and <br />passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Jones, Donaldson, Schmidt, Davis. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried. <br />Resolution Passed. <br />Buildi~ Department: Mr. D'Agostino. No report - is on vacation. <br />Fire Department: Fire Chief Hejcl. <br />Chief Hejcl gave a report for the month of August. <br />Police Department: Police Chief Shortle, <br />Chief Shortle gave a report for the month of August. Signs have not come it yet. <br />The Police Department will soon move downstairs, <br />
