(4) <br />until the next Council Meeting in April 1969. <br />Nir. Schmidt, seconded by Mr. Bordonaro, introduced Ordinance No. 69-14, entitled: <br />"An Ordinance Amending Section 5 of Ordinance No. 930, by Approving Amended Section <br />11 of the Revised Manual of Rules for the Auxiliary Police Unit, with P.eference to <br />Rates of Compensation for Private Persons." <br />Nir. Schmidt, seconded by Mr. Bordonaro, moved that the rules of law requiring an <br />Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Alessrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Donaldson, Schmidt <br />and Davis. <br />Nays - None. Motion Carried. <br />Rules Suspended. <br />NIr. Schmidt, seconded by Mr. Davis, moved that Ordinance No. 69-14 be approved <br />and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Donaldson, Schmidt <br />and Davis. <br />Nays - None> Motion Carried. <br />Ordinance Passed. <br />Architectural Board - Mr. Comella. <br />NIr.Comella reported value of a new construction approved to date as $1,32i3,50U.0U. <br />Building Committee - Nir. Bordonaro. <br />He reported the need of cleaning of the drapes in the Village Ha11, the.ci7ecking <br />of the roof for leaks, gutters fixed and the need for painting of the Council Chamber. <br />Recreation Committee - I~ir. Schmidt. <br />The Kecreation Committee met on February 25 and had 52 registrants for softball. <br />Sixteen boys are playing basketball on Saturdays. Iirs. Guidi and her children will <br />present "Winnie the Pooh." Tlzey have plans for the four acres owned by the Village. <br />Airs. Cass has designed a beautiful plaque for a memorial to the boys in ,the service. <br />Union Cemetery - I~Ir. Donaldson. <br />There was a burial in February. There was a problem on ownership of the lots. They <br />need a caretaker beginning April 1, 1969. <br />Streets and Roads - Mr. Fitz-Gerald. <br />The committee met Nlarch 16 with N1r. Hovancsek. Robley Lane and Ravine Drive need <br />tarring and chipping, A section of Kenwood needs replacing with concrete. Other <br />streets in need of repair are Beech Hill, Bonnieview, Glenview, Seneca, 7.orn Lane and <br />Metro Drive. <br />Disaster Control - NIr. Bordonaro. <br />%Ir. Bordonaro talked to NIr. Tobbe. They are in need of volunteers. I~Iis. Boger <br />will pass the word along to the Community Club and Mayor's Advisory Committee. <br />I~lr. Fitz-Gerald, seconded by NIr. Schmidt, made a motion to get bids for a section <br />of Kenwood Drive that needs replacing, The Village Engineer estimated that the <br />cost would be less than $1,000.00. <br />
