8. <br />Mr. Fitz-Gerald - Thinks that it is not a controversy. He is a member of <br />the Civic League and has not been consulted. He has not seen the list of <br />petitioners. He feels that this will complicate the situation. <br />Mr. Bordonaro - This is the people's town. They would like to express <br />themselves at the ballot box. <br />Mr. F`~.tz-Gerald - If we remove the emergency clause, and let the people <br />vote, how will they be informed - by inflammatory letters? He must object. <br />Mr. Schmidt - Wondered why the " emergency clause" was inserted. <br />Mr. Edelman - The ordinance amended a previous ordinance that contained <br />the clause. <br />Mr. Schmidt- Believes that any ordinance that any councilman introduces <br />should be considered. <br />Mr. Bordonaro, seconded by Mro Comella, moved that a public hearing should <br />be held on June 24, 1969 to discuss Ordinance Noo 69-29. This ordinance <br />will be referred to the Planning & Zoning Commission. <br />Roll Callo Ayes - Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Schmidt & Davis. <br />.Nays - Mr. Donaldson. <br />Motion Carried <br />Mayor Busa stated that the emergency clause was not put in for a purpose, <br />but was a matter of routineo He suggested that it go to, the poles and let <br />the people voice their opiniono <br />Nlr. Schmidt - Would like the council minutes sent to Bob Deal, Chairman of <br />the Recreation Committee. Mr. Schmidt read a portion of the April recreation <br />minuteso He asked for physical support from the counil and the residents. <br />Mro Lockemer suggested that the Recreation Committee be changed to the <br />Reoreation Department. <br />Mro Davis - Asked for a meeting of the residents and committee concerning <br />the widening of SOM Center Road and the sewer problem, to be held as soon <br />as possibleo Mro Fitz-Gerald suggested June 5, 1968. <br />Mro Donaldson- Would like to recruit manpower for the Sesqui-Centennial. <br />NIr. Comella - Would like for the Engineer to look at the size and design of <br />the sewer on Robley Lane. <br />Mr., Spillman presented a petition signed by residents of the Village. Mr. <br />Edelman, the Solicitor, advised since t~e Ordinance Noo 69-10 was passed <br />of emergenoy, that the Clerk-Treasurer not accept the petition, which Mre <br />Lockemer did not accept. <br />} Mrs. Boger- Commented on Mr. Schmidt's plea for assistance. She did not <br />want him to feel that he was aloneo <br />Mr. Pavlinsky - 6450 Wilson Nulls Road: Reported on the water condition of <br />Beecher°s Brook. <br />
