<br />2, <br />Sanitary Sewer at Beech Hill and Bonnieview: Members of Council, Planning and <br />Zoning, Mayor Busa and other interested parties had a conference with Mr.~Puzenski <br />of the County Engineering Division and several suggestions were made. Mr. Boger <br />feels a request by us to Mr. Puzenski to fence the site of the contamination. <br />Letter documented to consider the site behind Mayfield Junior High School. Request <br />was made to Mr. Hovancsek to send a letter to Mr. Puzenski. No further comments. <br />Mutual Ai.d: Mayor Busa received a letter from Pepper Pike asking us to honor their <br />contract and give them one of ours. Mr. Edelman suggested that we pass an ordin- <br />ance. <br />Ordinance No. 70-23: Entitled: "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AN AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />VILLAGE OF PEPPER PIKE FOR POLICE MUTUAL AID." Mr. Fitz-Gerald, seconded by Mr. <br />Boger, introduced the ordinance. Mr. Schmidt moved, seconded by Mr. Boger, that <br />the rules be suspended. Roll Call on motion for suspension of rules: AYES: Messrs. <br />Leech, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Boger, Schmidt and Davis. NAYS: None. Mr. Schmidt, <br />seconded by Mr. Davis moved for vote of adoption: Roll Ca11 on vote for adoption: <br />AYES: Messrs. Leech, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Boger, Schmidt and Davis. NAYS: None. <br />Pti.re Department Promotions: Fire Chief Hejcl recommended that Robert Jamieson be <br />promoted to Captain and Edward Gottschling-to Lieutenant. Both men attained pro® <br />motion by examination given by Western Reserve Universitya Mayor Busa made the <br />appointments, subject to confirmation of council. Mr, Schmidt, seconded by Mr. <br />Boger, made a motion to confirm appointments of Mr. Jamieson and Gottschling. <br />Roll Call; all in favor, motion carried. <br />Proclamation for Realtor Week: Letter~to Mayor Busa from the Mayor°s Association <br />that May 17 to May 23 be proclaimed "Realtor Week"® <br />Correspondence: Letter to Mayor Busa from Mayor°s Association suggesting that <br />we go to Columbus to attend an open conference on the raising of fees by the East <br />Ohio Gas Company and the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company, Mr. Edelman <br />felt that Cleveland would carry the burden of this. After discussion, Mr. Leech <br />proposed the following resolution: "The Village of Mayfield advises the Public <br />Utilities Commission of Ohio that the Village of Mayfield questions the necessity <br />of increasing rates of the East Ohio Gas Company and the Cleveland Electric <br />Illuminating Company. Mr. Leech, seconded by Mr. Bordonaro, moved that the <br />resolution be adopted, Roll Call; all in favor, resolution adopted. <br />New Village Hall Committee: Mr. Leech reported that the bond issue failed and <br />that council will be meeting this week. Additional money is necessary and what <br />source of financing is available? <br />Wortq,n Park Residents: Will meet on Friday, May 22, 1970 at Mayfield Center School <br />with Planning and Zgni;ng,Commission to discuss plans for Holiday Inn and use of the <br />remaining 35 acres located on west side of Wilson Mills Road and Interstate 271® <br />Architectural Board: Mr. Leech met May 14, 1970, The plans for one new home on <br />Chase Drive was not approved, Lander Road Home addition was not approved, <br />
