4. <br />SOM Center Wi.denin Pro ress Re ort: Mr. Hovancsek: It is a <br />genera inconvenience to t e area. The contractor will cooper- <br />~~`, ate in any way possible to minimize potential problems. Gas <br />inspection will be paid by the East Ohio Gas Company. Mayor <br />directed Mr. Hovancsek to pay as close attention as possible <br />to keep our best interests projected® Mayor requested inspec- <br />' tion on the gas line work. <br />Woodlane Drive: Mr. Hovancsek: Mr. D'Agostino and Mr. Hovanc- <br />~~sek met with county representatives and viewed the ditch on <br />school board property west of Woodlane Drive and approximate <br />cost for cleaning the ditch is=X1,000.00 to X1,500.00. School <br />board has been notified by our engineer. <br />New Business: <br />_6862 Metro Park Drive: Mr. Hovancsek: This is a flooding <br />con ition an a cleaning of tYie ditch on the south side. The <br />projected cost is X400.00 for using photography for inspection <br />of flooded sewer. Flooding conditions could be minimized if <br />this ditch could be kept open. Council has directed Mr. D°Agos- <br />tino to check for collapsed file in sewer line and additional <br />ditching possibilities. <br />ORDINANCE {~70-44: Introduced by Mr. Boger at the October 19, <br />`l~~b Council Meeting, ORDINANCE #70-44, Entitled: "AN ORDIN- <br />ANCE TO REPEAL CERTAIN ORDINANCESo" Mr. Leech, seconded by <br />Mr. Boger, made a motion to suspend the rules of law requir- <br />ing an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll~Cal1: AYES: Messrs< Leech, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Boger, <br />Schmidt and Davis. NAYS: None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mro Boger, seconded by Mr. Bordonaro, moved that Ordinance <br />#70-44 be approved and passed as read® Roll Call: AYES: <br />Messrs. Leech, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Boger, Schmidt and <br />Davis. NAYS: None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Correspondence: <br />Mrs. Mary Jane Baird sent a letter of thanks to the mayor <br />and council for their condolences to her on the death of her <br />husband, Superintendent Joseph Baird of Mayfield Schools. <br />better from Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company regarding <br />rate increase for traffic control devicesa Council thus <br />notified. <br />6526 Derby Drive: Mro Hovancsek: The problem is the manhole. <br />The contractor o~f the subdivision°s developer ran a pipe <br />i ~ from front to rear, grading construction of resident's rear <br />- yard lower than the manhole itself. Not a village expense. <br />Letter from Mayfield School System thanking us for the meeting <br />relative to the vacation program and the proposed swimming <br />pool. • <br />
