5• <br />Maintree Water Main on Beecher°s Brook: Mr. Hovancsek: The <br />~. developer documented the procedure with the village and the <br />new rules on water was set down by the water department. <br />Traveler°s Indemnity, Independence Excavating and Hickory Hill: <br />Mr. Edelman: No answer to the letter sent to them. Mr. Edelman <br />was directed to phone them and follow up and be prepared to <br />file a law suit. ~~ <br />The mayor noted that any and all contractors who do not comply <br />after a reasonable length of time should be dealt with through <br />law suits. <br />Letter from Mayfield Heights relative to a 1966 bill of <br />~p4,000.00 for street lighting on Ridgebury Blvd. We were never <br />billed for it and they are now requesting payment. It was <br />agreed to pay this bill and take the money from the Street Light- <br />ing Assessment Fund. <br />Letter from Mayfield Heights Mayor Ross DeJohn expressing his <br />gratitude to us for our offered assistance and stand-by posi-. <br />Lion to their city: in the loss of their Fire Chief Pirk through <br />death. <br />Letter. from Mr. Hovancsek asking for consideration of his re- <br />_ quest for the coming year, 1971, to increase his salary to <br />X18.00 per hour from $12050 per hour, etco <br />Mr. Leech, seconded by Mro Bordonaro, made a motion to refer <br />his request to the Finance Committeeo Roll Call: AYES: Messrs. <br />Leech, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Boger9 Schmidt and Davis. NAYS: <br />None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Letter from Messrs. Edelman & Fludine asking for consideration <br />of their request for the coming year, 1971, to increase their <br />combined salary to X7,500000 from X6,000.00. <br />Mr. Leech, seconded by Mro Bordonaro, made a motion to refer <br />their request to the Finance Committeeo Roll Call: AYES: <br />Messrso Leech, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Boger, Schmidt and Davis. <br />NAYS: None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Mro Russo read a statement to council withdrawing his plans <br />for building a senior citizen°s housing on SOM Center Road <br />which was previously zoned for this use, stating he feasibly <br />could not wait two years for the start of this project due <br />to the referendum ballot scheduled for November, 19710 <br />Mr. Edelman asked Mr. Russo to have his attorney contact him <br />in regard to the rezoned land. Proper ordinance cannot be <br />drawn up until he gets the breakdown and the legal description. <br />~. <br />Mr. Russo thanked the mayor and. council for their interest. <br />Architectural Board: Mro Leech: No meeting. <br />
