60 <br />Jefferson Building - Compliance to Fire Code - Acting Chief Mohr said that <br />they spent 32 hours in both buildings on Saturday. To the best of his <br />knowledge, they have completed what was asked of them last November. <br />Mr. Basile asked if they were in compliance to the fire code. <br />Acting Chief Mohr said they are in compliance as well as they can tell; <br />they can',t tear down walls. <br />Mr. Flynn asked for an update on the other two buildings. <br />Discussion was held. <br />Mayor Carmen and Council agr.eed that no.occupancy permits should be issued <br />until compliance is made. <br />Civil Service Exam - Fire Chief - Mayor Carmen said the.exam was given on <br />April 9; oral interviews on April 11. The Civil Service Commission should <br />have the results this week or next week. After he hears from them, he <br />should have a decision soon. <br />Kenwood North Subdivision Street Lighting - Mr. Jamieson said that even if <br />all 20%.of' the residents who they did not reach were in favor of the street <br />lighting, the amount in favor would still be considerably less than the <br />amount of residents against the street lighting. Based upon these facts, <br />Mayor Carmen and Council agreed this is a"dead issue." <br />Aintree North Sub-Division Drainage - Mayor Carmen said the last he heard <br />from Mr. Hovancsek was that Mr. Caticchio was going to come to speak to him, <br />but he has not yet heard from him. <br />Cotton Property - Mayor Carmen said that a meeting was held this evening <br />with Mr. Cotton, Mr. Amendola, and Mr. Feneli. The details have been <br />worked out and the work should begin promptly on his property. <br />Cadillac Ambulance - Mayor Carmen said we have determined to keep this <br />vehicle at this time. It can be used for other activities (i.e. Village <br />Days). <br />Third Reading of Resolution No. 87-11, entitled; "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING <br />THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL TO EXECUTE A CQNTRACT WITH COMMUNITY <br />MUTUAL AND COMMUNITY LIFE FOR HEALTH AND TERM LIFE INSURANCE, RESPECTIVELY, <br />FOR EMPLOYEES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, FOR THE PERIOD COMMENCING MARCH l, <br />1987 AND TERMINATING FEBRUARY 29, 1988 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." (Through <br />Don B. Sommer of Sommer Insurance Agency). Introduced by Mayor Carmell-and <br />Council as a Whole. (First Reading 2/9/87, Second Reading 2/16/87.) <br />Mr. Goley, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 87-11. <br />Mr. Basile explained this was a house-cleaning measure; other legislation <br />has already been enacted for insurance through another agency. <br />Roll Call: AYES: None <br />NAYS: All Motion Not Carried <br />Resolution Defeated
