8 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />1/21/91 <br />Page 2 <br />COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT RINKER <br />Mr. Rinker had no comment. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Mr. Hovancsek reported that plans are prepared and if the Clerk of Council is authorized to <br />advertise for bids, bids will be received on Thursday, February 14 for the removal and replacement <br />of the Wilson Mills Road drainage structure. He explained that the collapsed structure is located <br />west of Echo Drive on the south side of Wilson Mills Road. A preliminary cost of $38,000 was <br />estimated for this repair. He said that the Village received a letter from the County Engineer <br />advising that they will pay 50% of the work. <br />Mr. Patrick reported that Center School has been billed for 50% of the amount the Village paid to <br />Artisric Landscape for the repair of the ball diamonds at Center Schoole <br />Mr. Flynn said we have a question on the firing range change going to Beachwood. <br />1VIr. Rinker said that since that item appears later on the agenda, Mr. Flynn should bring up the <br />question at that time. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Amendola said they had nothing on their agenda so have not met <br />yet this month. <br />Board of AWeals - Mr. Amendola said they were not required to meet. <br />Cemeterv - Mrs. Cinco said there was no report. <br />Cirizen's Advisorv Board - Mr. Pietrafese said there will be a meeting this Monday, January 28. <br />He named the members of the committee and said he is looldng forward to the meeting. <br />Commission on Aging - Mrs. Mills said they held a meeting the first week in January. They are in <br />the midst of planning a special Anniversary Party to be held Apri127 in the Community Room. <br />Mrs. Mills reported that Eunice Kalina is gathering informarion on bus trips. <br />Finance - Mr. Flynn said the Committee met this evening and he was elected Chairman for 1991. <br />Mr. Flynn said the Committee recommends passage of the following: Resolurion 91-6, 91-7, <br />91-5, 91-3. He said the municipal complex was briefly discussed under "Old Business." <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Ferrante said that he, Mrs. Mills, and Mrs. Cinco attended the <br />meeting on January 19. Mr. Ferrante said that State Representative Ron Suster and Senator Eric <br />Fingerhut were guest speakers. He said that Bob Baron introduced a resolution of objection <br />regarding the Cablevision rate increase and asked the Hillcrest Council of Councils for its <br />adoprion. The resolution of objection was passed. <br />Historical Societv - Mrs. Cinco said work has begun again on the revamping of the house. She <br />said their first meering this year will be held on February 13 in the Community Room.
