13 <br />Regular Council Meering <br />1/21/91 <br />Page 7 <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Rinker, made a motion to adopt Resolution 91-02. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: Mr. Basile, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ferrante, Mr. Flynn, Mr. Pietrafese, and Mr. <br />Rinker <br />NAYS: None <br />ABSTAIN: Mrs. Mills <br />Morion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />First Reading of Resolution No. 91-03, entitled; "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TBE <br />MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCII. TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH TBE CITY <br />OF BEACHWOOD, OHIO, FOR TBE USE OF TBE FIRING RANGE BY POLICE <br />PERSONNEL AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and <br />Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Ramos said the contract was sent to him without a cover letter. He said the contract needs to <br />be revised; there is a quesrion about liability. <br />Mayor Carmen said we had tradirionally been using South Euclid until a couple of months ago <br />when they began some serious renovarion. He said we were told we could continue to use the <br />facility but they could not guarantee the safety of our people using it. He said that the Beachwood <br />facility is a little more expensive by about $1,000 to $1,500 a year. Mayor Carmen suggested <br />adopring the legislarion on the conringent upon the Law Director's satisfacrion on the liability issue. <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring a <br />resolution to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Mr. Ramos said the resolurion already contained that contingency requirement. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Morion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 91-03. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Morion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />First Reading of Resolution No. 91-04, entitled; "A RESOLUTION APPROVING TBE <br />PRELIlVIINARY PLAN OF TBE VILLAGE TRAII,S SUBDIVISION AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Rinker suggested leaving this resolution on first reading. <br />Mayor Carmen said he thinks we can do the same thing Planning and Zoning Commission did; <br />pass it on conringency. He suggested passing over it now and after he provides some pertinent <br />informarion to Council in Execurive Session, they can consider it following the Executive Session.
