?? <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />5/20/91 <br />Page Ten <br />First Readin2 of Resolurion No. 91-46, entitled; "A resolurion authorizing the Mayor and President <br />of Council to enter into an agreement with Mansour, Gavin, Gerlack & Manos Co., LPA for legal <br />services in regard to litigation regarding the Parkview Golf Course and declaring an emergency." <br />Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Pietrafese, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring a <br />resolution to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: Mr. Basile, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ferrante, Mr. Flynn, Mr. Pietrafese, <br />and Mr. Rinker <br />NAYS: Mrs. Mills <br />Morion Carried <br />12ules Suspendeci <br />Mr. Pietrafese, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 91-46. <br />Mr. Rinker questioned if Council wanted to put a cap on the salary. He said they received a <br />proposal for an hourly rate. <br />Mayor Carmen said he is not sure if you can cap them. Mayor Carmen said that Council could <br />monitor the bills as they aze submitted. He said he would be happy to copy Council with that <br />information as it is received so they will be informed. <br />Mr. Flynn said he thinks it should be handled in phases. <br />Mayor Carmen said the firm will represent the Village if and when eminent proceedings become <br />necessary. They will represent the Village in its capacity as a municality, and represent those <br />individuals who are also being sued. Mr. Ramos will monitor this as the Village's legal <br />representative, as for acting on the litigation case in court, he will not. <br />Mr. Pietrafese said he would like to see the monthly report. <br />Discussion was held. <br />Mayor Carmen said he will submit a monthly report of some fashion and copies of the bills to <br />Council. If there are problems, they can cliscuss them at that point. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: Mr. Basile, Mr. Ferrante, Mr. Pietrafese, and Mr. Rinker. <br />NAYS: Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Flynn, and Mrs. Mills <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br /> <br /> <br />
