The Village would have to pay for 20% of the construction
and 40% of the engineering fees. This project is being done by the County in-house and it should
be done this summer if the legislation passes quickly. Mr. Hovancsek explained that they are
working on this project for the entire County. This will be put in this year's contract and it will be
bid out as part of this year's rnaintenance program.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Cazried
Ordinance Enacted
ANY OTBER MATTER THAT MAY COME BEFORE COUNCII.
Mayor Carmen requested an Execurive Session to discuss litigarion matters.
Mayor Carmen said that he is troubled by the summer schedule at the High School pool. It is his
understanding that children are not allowed at the high school pool anytime throughout the summer
so that it would not be in direct conflict with the neighboring pools. Mayor Carmen said that our
residents can't use the neighboring pools in bad weather. He felt that once everyone purchases
their pool passes use of the high school facility would have no effect on the neighboring
communities pools and felt the facility should be open to Mayfield Village people who may or may
not want to go. Mayor Carmen said he would even be willing to a system whereby the high school
facility would only be open in inclement weather during the summer months.
Mrs. Cinco reported that she will be attending a Pool Advisory Committee meeting at 7:30 p.m.
next Wednesday. She said it might be a suggesrion to request that this item be placed on the
agenda.
Mayor Carmen said he will send a letter to the school board. He said he believes we would even
be willing to pay for lifeguazds at the pool if it could be used by Mayfield Village residents during
the summer.
