123 <br />Regulaz Council Meeting <br />7/15/91 <br />Page Three <br />Cemeterv - Mrs. Cinco said there was no report. <br />Citizen's Advisorv Committee - Mr. Pietrafese said the committee met and went over numerous <br />things at their last meeting. They talked about moving the Halloween trick-or-treat hours earlier <br />(from 6 to 8 p.m.) Mr. Pietrafese said that Mark Fixler requested an ordinance that would mandate <br />developers to maintain swales, landscaping, and provide trees for tree lawns. They want this to be <br />more uniform in future developments. Bramblewood residents are concerned about composting <br />problems with the mound. The old service station at S.O.M. and Seneca has a large hole with a <br />plasric net over it; it is unsafe for children. Trucks and police cars are driving on and damaging a <br />member's sidewalk. Their next meeting will be held on August 26 at 8 p.m. <br />Commission on A ig_ng - Mrs. Mills said they are meeting as scheduled and holding picnics. <br />Finance - Mr. Flynn reported that a tax budget hearing was held this evening; there were no <br />objecrions. He said the Committee recommends passage of the following legislation: Ordinances <br />91-26, 91-29,. 91-30, Resolutions 91-67. He said they recommend awarding the street repair <br />contract to Vandra Brothers this evening. He said they have a number of quesrions to ask the <br />bidders on the solid waste/recycling project. Mr. Flynn said they are requesting a special meeting <br />on Wednesday, July 24 at 7:30 p.m. to finalize discussions and make a selecrion. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Ferrante said there was no report. <br />Historical Societv - Mrs. Cinco said they had their phone line installed. Their phone number is: <br />461-0055. Work on the house will resume August 3. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mrs. Cinco said they met July 10. T'he women's tennis group is a large success. <br />They are preparing for their fall art show. She said that some discussion was held on the Saturday <br />swim program. <br />Ordinance Review - Mr. Rinker said the next meeting is slated for the 24th. Mr. Ramos will be <br />preparing the agenda. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Basile said the committee recommends that Deacon's and Fisher's <br />Tavern be given an extension on their sign. He said that Fisher's Tavern still has a neon sign in <br />their window which should have been removed by this year. <br />Mr. Amendola said the deadline is August 15. <br />Mr. Ramos said that if Council wished the neon sign to be addressed; the legislation could be <br />amended. <br />Mr. Rinker suggested that it be brought up at the next Planning and Zoning meeting. <br />Recreation - Mr. Pietrafese said that the Board met June 19. The softball program is underway. <br />The All-Star Game will be held August lst. Adult leagues will be played in the fall. Twelve teams <br />have signed up. They received a letter from Carrie Hoehnen thanking them for the scholarship. <br />Benches have been installed at Center School thanks to Gus. They have heard positive comments <br />about the fields at Center School. Mr. Pietrafese said they are also looking into putting in a <br />., playground azea at Wiley Park.
