They are looking to sell 50 tables at $40 each. Mr. Pietrafese said that 77 children have
registered for the learn-to-swim program. They are using a green shed to sell pepsi at Wiley Park.
Mrs. Mills reported that over 300 runners entered the 5-Mile Race. She thinks everyone was
pleased about the course. The winner completed the course in 25 minutes 40 seconds.
Mrs. Cinco reported that there was a nice write-up in the News Herald.
Mayor Carmen said that Elliot Ross told him the runners said this was one of the best runs.
Mrs. Mills said they appreciated donations of pizza, water, and lemonade by Fizzazz and Yours
Truly.
Safetv and Service - Mrs. Cinco said the Committee met July lst. One thing open is the contract. Five percent of the first
million dollars of construction and 4 1/2% for anything in excess of that is standard. He said that
Mr. Panzica has agreed to reduce the percentage of the fees. He explained that after consulting
with other construction managers they found there aze other reimbursable costs. There are things
to be addressed in the contract so that we will have no problems (gaps or overlaps between the
duties of the construction manager and that of the consultant) later on.
Mr. Rinker asked if there was a timetable.
Mr. Ramos said he hopes to have everything by the Ordinance Review meeting. He said he will
have copies of the agreement by that meering to pass out to Council.
Mayor Carmen said that he rnet with Nacy Panzica two weeks ago to discuss the project. He was
planning to meet with the architect last week to look at preliminary plans. Mayor Carmen said that
Mr. Panzica has ideas and suggesrions how to trim dollars. Mayor Carmen said he asked Mr.
Panzica to prepare a note to Council with this.
Gazebo Concerts - Scheduling - Mr. Rinker asked Council to let Donna know this evening which
date(s) they can volunteer to take.
Mrs. Mills said the majority of people who attended the concert are from out of town; people need
to be advised of the concert.
