. .. ? <br />125 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />7/15/91 <br />Page Five <br />Mayor Carmen said that Julie, our Administrative Assistant, has displayed her talent in making <br />signs. She is making a sign about the concerts which will be placed at the corner. <br />1850s Niglht?- Mayor Carmen explained where stages will be placed. He said that the <br />entertainment (menrioned during "Mayor's Comments") will take place all evening on the different <br />stages. <br />Rubbish/Recycling Bid Results - Mr. Rinker said that since Mr. Hovancsek and Mr. Amendola <br />have not had an opportunity to review the bids they will wait until the target date of July 24 to <br />further discuss the bids. <br />State Rec,vcling Bill - Mr. Rinker said Council received a letter from Senator Fingerhut regarding <br />the proposed legislation and he thinks the Village should endorse it in some fashion. <br />Cleveland Water Rate Increase - Mr. Rinker said he received a letter from Bedford Heights. He <br />asked if Mr. Ramos has gotten any feedback from other communities how they are approaching <br />this. Council would like to pursue this. <br />Mr. Flynn requested that the Law Director prepare an ordinance that tracks theirs. <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Rinker asked for something by the Ordinance Review meeting. <br />I-271 Dual-Dual Lane Construcrion - Mr. Rinker said that Mr. Hovancsek said Council might want <br />to consider some type of committee to pursue questions on the funding of this project. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said that very litde informarion is available so far. They are going to limit points of <br />ingress and egress into the area. Mr. Hovancsek said the area in the Village is in the vicinity of <br />Wilson Mills. ' <br />Chief Mohr said that no one knows anything. They found out from the Ohio Department of <br />Transportation that they plan to remove all access. If that happens, our ambulances will have to go <br />to Bishop Road to turn azound. Part of the trouble is if they make this a hazardous materials route. <br />Mayor Cannen said these are very serious concerns. As soon as we have more concrete <br />information we will share it with Council. We will write a letter on behalf of the community <br />expressing our grave concerns. Mayor Carmen said he will show Council copies of the letter <br />before it is sent <br />Rejecrion of Exhaust System Bid - Chief Mohr said the bid received was way over the cost <br />anricipated. Based on that, he recommends that Council reject the bid and rebid it later. <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Ferrante, made a morion to reject the bid received. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Bid Rejected
