i(OZ <br /> <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />9/16/91 <br />Page Five <br />Referendum Peririon - Mr. Ramos explained that a committee filed a petition with the Clerk of <br />Council requesring that Council reconsider Ordinance No. 91-35. The Clerk of Council has <br />certified as of September 4, that the peritions contain the sufficient number of signatures required <br />by our Charter. Mr. Ramos said that within 30 days of such certification, Council shall reconsider <br />the ordinance. He explained that Ordinance No. 91-35 is regarding the Parkview Golf Course <br />(eminent domain). Mr. Ramos said that Council must reconsider the ordinance and must act on it <br />in some way. If Council does not repeal it within 30 days (by October 3), then Council must take <br />the necessary steps to place the ordinance on the ballot. Mr. Ramos said he suggests that Council <br />take no acrion at this time. <br />John Deere Loader - Morion to A1212rove - Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to <br />authorize an expenditure not to exceed $3,500 to Mahnen Machinery for the repair of a John Deere <br />Loader. <br />Mr. Amendola said the loader is a 1977. It is the only machinery we have to lift the salt to the <br />spreaders. He plans to include a new machine in next yeaz's budget. A new machine will cost <br />approximately $45,000. <br />Mr. Pietrafese suggested Mr. Amendola talk to Baron Hydraulics about parts for the John Deere; <br />he might be able to cut out the middle man next rime. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES : All <br />NAYS: None <br />Morion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />Adler's - Morion to Approve - Mr. Pietrafese said all sponsorship funds have been collected which <br />will cover the cost of the softball items purchased. <br />Mr. Pietrafese, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to authorize the expenditure of $4,322.75 <br />to Adler's Sporring Goods-for softball uniforms and equipment for the summer and fall Village <br />Recreation softball programs. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Morion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 91-43, entitled; "An ordinance appropriating funds for current <br />expenses & expenditures Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the period for 01/01/91 and ending 12/31/91, <br />repealing existing Ordinance no. 91-12 and declaring an emergency."
